On Tuesday, the Superintendent of the Los Angeles Unified School District announced that all schools would be shut down today due to an unspecified terror threat. According to ABC News, that threat also carries “unknown credibility.†Bus drivers say they have been returned to their bus depots. LAUSD is the nation’s second-largest school district, with 640,000 students and 900 schools; children range from kindergarten to 12th grade.

Now, in a place like LA, someone is laughing because of the amount of manpower required for the searches.
How long until the ordinary criminals figure out they can divert a significant police presence to known areas with a phone call and at least attempt to take advantage of that?

I don’t know, but I don’t think he’ll push it far enough to declare martial law. He’ll do everything else to ignore laws, create pseudo-laws through executive action and all manner of executive memoranda and informal direction (by which he’s been extremely successful heretofore).
To actually declare martial law so close to an election just might be the trigger he really doesn’t want. It would awaken too many Americans to the tyrant this Muslim really is, IMO. He’d get open disobedience and possible violence out of it - not of the kind he wants.

At any rate, if the school district had acted, say two hours later, I'm sure there would have been additional inconvenience, but the kids seem to go with the flow substantially better than the adults do. Handling a group of "stranded" kids is probably more likely to happen, than is handling one lost or stranded kid.
