I think you nailed it. Trump is a people person. He connects. Cruz, not so much. I would certainly rather have two Senator Cruz's from Texas, than rino Cornyn. Cornyn is in till 2020. Ugh.
It is 4:30am CST. I just went back through all my posts to see when I moved from Cruz to Trump. I am going to be so sleepy today. I see DT started winning me over after the first debate.
I guess it started with Meghan Kelly being smarmy, and pretty quickly from there I went all in, so DT won me over sooner than I thought.
Next time I will just take your word for my “timeline”.

I don’t see any thing in there as really negative...Cruz is after all an opponent...I think Cruz is wrong about Trump...But Cruz has to sell himself first to his donors...And that’s what he’s doing...

If you read Trump’s books, the most likely scenario is that Trump will respect this sort of move by Cruz.
Also, it wouldn’t surprise me if Cruz either leaked, or had a hand in leaking, this video himself.
Doing so gives him a great deal of freedom of political movement. The most people can accuse him of is playing politics. Which is shocking when done by a guy running for, you know, President.
I was thinking Cruz or Paul and then Trump jumped in big with Enforce the law. Build the wall. Been Trump ever since. Cruz is running lots ads here in Texas which tells you he might not even carry his home state of Texas. I have yet to heard one Trump ad but just about everyone I know is voting Trump in March.

Trump did his Muslim riff this week after Cruz and Paul introduced a bill suspending Muslims from terrorist infested locations from entering the country.
It also happened to be the day that the poll came out showing Cruz leading Iowa by 5%. WHich could alter the race dynamics. Trump blew that headline out of the water, great tactics by Trump.
Why would Cruz even be in the race if he didn’t have a strategy to win? Cruz seems to have read and understand Sun Tzu, you don’t approach each opponent the same way to win.
Trump seems to only know the bull in a china shop approach. It is currently serving him well.
You Trumpees must really be afraid of Cruz.

I’m a big fan of Cruz (but want Trump as the headliner) that’s why I’m disappointed when I hear him say something I’d expect to hear from a simpleton such as ‘do you want this person in control of the button?’. That narrative was started earlier in the campaign by the other losers in the party. And it will be used in the general if Trump wins.
...and fwiw, the ignorant ‘Trumpee’ line. Very lame.

I knew you got my point. I shouldn’t have addressed the other thread posters in my comment to you.
I was pointing to posters bashing springwater because he was a newbie and contributing nothing else to the topic of the thread, but name calling him, just hitting springwater and leaving the substance of the little audio out of the conversation.
I really should not have combined the two different subjects in one post.. Sorry about that. I did that yesterday and one recipient thought I was scolding them.

Cruz is running for president, of course he thinks that Trump will eventually lose. What is hilarious is all of the Trump supporters that are trying to make this look like some underhanded attack by Cruz on Trump. Trump and his supporters seem to think that anyone that doesn't believe Trump will win is attacking him by saying so...
