"I think both of them, their campaigns have a natural arc," Cruz says. "And with both of them I think gravity is pulling them downâ¦. Carson is further in that descent."
"You look at Paris, you look at San Bernardino, itâs given a seriousness to this race, that people are looking for: Who is prepared to be a commander in chief? Who understands the threats we face? Who am I comfortable having their finger on the button?
"Now thatâs a question of strength, but itâs also a question of judgment. And I think that is a question that is a challenging question for both of them. So my approach, much to the frustration of the media has been to bear hug both of them, and smother them with love

Not an easy thing to do.
Yes. Again, this is a very ignorant statement on Cruz’s part.
I'd guess that statement just lost Cruz 3% of his current polling number.
The candidates are all running against Trump, and each other, instead of attacking Sanders or Clinton.
Trump seems to be running a campaign appealing to the voters and what foremost on their mind... and from time to time attacks Hillary
No wonder Trump has a commanding lead.
More power to him.
Yeah, but if he says he is better than Trump, that’s getting pretty uppity.
He said it. I heard it on a “leaked” recording from a fundraiser today on Bloomberg News show (Charlie Rose). I don’t necessarily think it’s bad for him, after all he is running for President, but it is quite interesting that he says those things when he’s 13-20 points down in all the recent polls. Sounds like Lindsey Graham or Jeb! Of course things can change, but you need to look at reality and pick your timing. Perhaps he’s feeling emboldened by the recent endorsements...
What I find amusing is that if Cruz makes a mild comment to the effect that he thinks he would make a better President than Trump or Carson, the Trump supporters go apoplectic! “Treason!” “Blasphemy!” “Backstabber!” Yet Trump makes a habit of insulting his fellow Republican candidates, and that seems to be OK.
Who am I comfortable having their finger on the button?
.....................................................
So Ted is continuing this lame narrative against Trump started by the other losers in the race. I seriously expect much better from Cruz.
Thank you so much....;>)
The difference is Trump is leading...yuge...
Yes, but has he said anything about Cruz? No.
Ted must earn supporters. They are not inherited.
Very well put !
And Trump also blasts away at Obama, over and over and over again, calling him “STUPID”; Hillary and Kerry too !
Maybe, maybe not, but this is NOT the time to do it !
Trump hasn’t even commented on this. Doesn’t even reach his radar at this point.
You are very welcome :-)
Trump has NEVER gone after Cruz !
I know the first part is ‘me too ted’, but what’s the TC?
Well, no.
