Americans are more fearful about the likelihood of another terrorist attack than at any other time since the weeks after Sept. 11, 2001, a gnawing sense of dread that has helped lift Donald J. Trump to a new high among Republican primary voters, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll. From Our Advertisers
In the aftermath of attacks by Islamic extremists in Paris and in San Bernardino, Calif., a plurality of the public views the threat of terrorism as the top issue facing the country. A month ago, only 4 percent of Americans said terrorism was the most important problem; now, 19 percent say it is, above any other issue.
Mr. Trump, who has called for monitoring mosques and even barring Muslims from entering the United States, has been the clear beneficiary of this moment of deep anxiety. More than four in 10 Republican primary voters say the quality most important to them in a candidate is strong leadership, which eclipses honesty, empathy, experience or electability. These voters heavily favor Mr. Trump.
The survey was largely conducted before Mr. Trumpâs proposal, announced Monday, to temporarily block Muslims from entering the country.

How surprising. Not.
Yeah. Surrender just is not going well
So, a significant number who voted for the POSPOTUS now think ISIS is a major threat. Welcome to the party, dumb-asses.
Fear of islam? I think not.
Fear and common sense.
But I guess you can't use that in a headline...
It’s always a poll of republican voters. I’d like to see a poll of democrats and independents. They have the numbers. But they’re not releasing them.
See, we’re supporting Trump because we be skeered. Ooooh... please Mista Trump tuck us under the covers from the mean old Muslim hiding beneath our beds!
“See, weâre supporting Trump because we be skeered. Ooooh... please Mista Trump tuck us under the covers from the mean old Muslim hiding beneath our beds!”
I probably should have thrown in a disclaimer. I am not a Trump supporter. Far from it. But this is legitimate news so I’m posting it.
Michael Bublé, on his Hollywood Christmas show (NBC), just took a poke at Trump. Made a joke about his mother lives in Canada, and his wife is in Argentina, so if Trump gets in, they won’t be able to get to America.
They must me muslim.
Look, everyone knows that the elites want to reduce the population so there will be more for them. More space, more blue sky, more pristine landscape.
They look at Islam as an easy way to accomplish this that won’t get their hands too dirty.
Big problem though. The ones they want to get rid of aren’t going to cooperate.
Given the suspicion of many FReepers, myself included, that Trump’s appeal goes beyond the GOP voters, I’d like to see a poll that isn’t limited to Republican primary voters, but to registered voters or those who plan to vote in November ‘16.
Anger Terrorists Are Being Imported Into Our Towns Lifts Donald Trump in New York Times/CBS Poll
Oh, yeah, we’re fearful of a bunch of inbred 7th Century throwbacks... How about we’re livid that a bunch of traitors in our midst are intent on doing whatever it takes to give savages any advantage they can and bring about an end to the marvelous accomplishments seven centuries of enlightenment have produced? I swear, humanity finally has a chance to lift itself out of the mud, and liberals want to send us back. Ain’t happenin.
oh, but Farook and Malik aren’t Muslims, doncha know? no, no!! AND, if you substitute “Jew” or “Catholic” for “Muslim” it’s the same thing that happened to those groups 100 years ago. So, really, the bad guy is Trump. Further, how can anyone support him, and if they do, how can they sleep at night?
This is what I’m reading from LIbs @ Facebook or in forwarded emails. I think my Christmas card list is getting shorter by the day.
“Give me a cupcake. now”!!!
