I am a Hindu. I am hearing alot about religious persecution from the lawyers representing the family of the Islamic terrorists. But my "second home" is India. I know a lot about Islam. Come with me to Kolkata (Calcutta), I can show you Islam. I know how this game works, and this grievance game.
Politics and religion are one and the same in this modern radical Islam. So let me give my view of religion and politics because today, it is one and the same, because today where you stand in politics has a lot to bare on where you will be tomorrow - be it even in hiding.
But first, the election. Because, this now has enormous consequence for religion. You should not discuss religion while ignoring the reality of what this election means to all of us and religion.
My first choice is still Mr. Trump, but in wake of the recent terrorist attack and the response of Ted Cruz in defence of our Second Amendment Rights, I am so impressed that I have locked in Mr. Cruz as my definite very, very close second choice and it would not surprise me if I am typical of the Republican base at this juncture and if Republicans choose Mr. Cruz as the nominee, of course I will support him and enthusiastically so. I just sent off my first $25 donation to Cruz, I know it is not much but I will be a regular donor. I have already given $400 to Mr. Trump and $1000 to Rand Paul early on but it is probably time for Mr. Paul to think about stepping aside so the top two or three tier can build a war chest.
It was this terrorist attack that has changed, let us say "impacted", me and my perspective of this election. I think, at least while we are at war with Radical Islam, we should take a stronger stance and while Mr. Paul is so very valid in more peaceful times, this is now literally a crisis and my vote goes to the "strong horse".
In regards to the religious aspect ...
I support religious freedoms, I am not against religion (obviously, as I am a Hindu). But, because Americans will, and must, and now with diligence, speak out against Radical Islam, doesn't imply either a religious bias, nor a religious sense of exclusiveness against others.
But Christians, Hindus, Jews, Buddhists and others including even perhaps vetted and loyal anti-jihadi Muslims, have a right to have a community, and to align together against Radical Islam, and to vet those who engage in large numbers in such terrorism.
And in my opinion, not just Radical Islam, there are others that threaten others and can cause and engage such organized and inspired terrorism, that include domestic terrorists such as Nation of Islam and radical and violent Afro-Centrics. But the reality of the times is this - those who are attacking, these attacks are also often racial attacks against those who are targetted by these radicals - and I want to comment on not just Radical Islam. I am not going to be afraid to speak what I see as the facts. I am sick of how those who are not blacks registered to vote Democrat, nor illegal aliens who are registered Democrat or are not part of some favored class of "Hispanics", or who are not Muslim - how everyone else is not allowed to be a community in expression, speech and pride. The "progressives" not only will not acknowledge other communities, and literally outlaw "white" identity and pride for example, I see blantant attacks of a violent nature by black racists not only on "whites" but on Asians or Indian shop keepers and a vile anti-Semiticism among such thugs, the "progressives" do not want to allow any of the others to even have a community at all which they relentlessly try to delegitimize and now even criminalize and suffocate their speech entirely. This suffocation is all part of an extreme enthusiasm for authority from this totalitarian minded government class of the far left.
Actually, the "progressives" think too highly of their intelligence and of their ability to harass and delegitimize and criminalize others. They will no more succeed in such dominance in the end than the Radical Muslims - they will be put down and a commence is coming and they are in fact outnumbered. Time is not on their side with each new day.
I support Trump and Cruz because the problem is not just the Democratic Party, which is totally unrecognizable from the days of JFK. The Republican "establishment" has outraged me and neither the goons of the Democrats, but this Reptilian Republican establishment, neither had or have the courage to tell the truth of their own motives, but I see it clearly and I am aghast.
The Republican establishment wants amnesty for illegal aliens crossing the US-Mexican border. This is their top priority, that it continues no matter what. It is so important to them, they will even support Hillary Clinton over Trump or Cruz. That is a fact. That is why they attack Trump or Cruz first and with regularity. They have more contempt for us than even Radical Islam, the unsecure border and their amnesty agenda on behalf of cheap labour and tax avoidence of their donors who benefit from this invasion and profit of such cheap labour is their number one priority, not Radical Islam. Little do they understand the actual peril. They are in fact, a religion unto themselves. They are extremists about this, too.
Rubio? I recall he was part of the "gang" that tried to shove amnesty on us all. If he had his way, Texas would be lost and the chances of a Republican victory in the electoral college gone for 50 years or more. He talks tough now on Islamic terrorism. But if he had his way before, where would we be now? The Democrats would be assured victory and the war would be likely lost, as sure as I am of anything.
Jeb Bush is much more worse. Literally, he is exactly the opposite of what I feel we need - his number one priority is amnesty and more to come, there is no question in my mind and the outcome of this madness is as assured as the West Bengal and Bangladesh border.
The phony liberal news is rapidly becoming the old legacy, dinosaur, media, yet as they become more shrill as they realize they are losing, and in my opinion have lost, control over the message, yet they become even more blatant and obvious what they want to do to all of us. We are their number one target, not Radical Islam.
This "media", rapidly becoming just minor players and wailing about with a pompus but delusional elitism, are now howling the expected "gun control" crap in terms that try to attack those who are speaking out about this threat as if they are the "problem", "refusing to do anything about it" - but we all know what this really means is, we should not even be allowed to say what just happened. Don't say Radical Islam, not now before the election, because they know their failures will not bode well in this election, that is why they demand we immediately be distracted and look in the direction other than the attackers, look over there, not here, it is exactly the opposite of doing something about it but going back to boiling cabbage and wait for your turn next to be attacked.
Using the analogy of boiling cabage is very accurate even if an analogy. They have total contempt for us and our independence which they despise.
Our independence. From them.
And when the enemy is at the gates, what do they do who have total contempt for us? They want to immediately focus on us as the "issue", and demand we not concentrate on the attack from Radical Islam. If we dare look at that, look at Radical Islam, they now threaten us as the problem as we are attacked by enemies of our freedoms and values and want to remove America's ability to resist it. We just saw that from Loretta Lynch immediately after the attacks and again twice since. Her first priority and that of the Obamanists was to control us, and act like we are children full of fear and about to scream in the dark while they coddle the Islamic "community" as if we are the terrorists albeit childish nitwits and they are the victims.
We aren't afraid. Stop talking to us like children. We aren't afraid to take this thing head on. We will say it like it is.
But what do they think of us, and our soldiers? They see returning veterans as more dangerous than criminal aliens. They attack our defenders and coddle our attackers.
They do not want to have The People of the United States to form A More Perfect Union, they want to suppress the people and divide the union into controllable victims. They will defend the religion of Islam with vengence and attack the religion of Christianity or Hinduism with vengence. Why? Because the end game is to replace us with their power, and anyone who helps them do that is their darling. If their darlings kill us, that is good, because we are their target and make no mistake about that. Ultimately WHAT they want, as we are killed, is that we do not even acknowledge we are being killed but to have us go about boiling cabbage and wait to be killed next.
Boiling cabage. We are beiny boiled by them.
Religion and the State?
They want to Establish a Religion over all Americans - we see that in the global warming agenda which is a religion. They want to join their Church of their religion with the State - that is exactly what the global warming agenda wants to do among their other government class cults, and have their State a GLOBAL enforcement agency at that.
The days of simple condemnations are over. Not just over regarding simple condemnations of Islamic terrorism, but the days of doing nothing. There will be actionable fronts against both the Islamic terrorists and the Obamanists of the world who try to use threats and actions against us for even condemning these terrorists. They sense the truth, and that is why they become more shrill. Their times are coming to an end.
No such thing.
Welcome.
Thank you for your post.
Except that Hindus are pounding hundreds of Christians to death with clubs in Orissa State India right now.
I am not a Hindu. But the point made is valid. I could live next door Buddhist in Hong Kong because I didn’t worry they were planning to kill me just for not having a god-box outside my door
You have seen the enemy and he must be destroyed. You agree.
Welcome to the fold and let's see you a little more often in the forums!
Any thinking person knows islam and its koran is evil. It must not be allowed to fester.
But they don't do it anyplace else. In an age where Muslim extremists are acting out in majority non-Muslim countries, that's a problem but not exactly the biggest item on the agenda.
I spent a bit of time studying Hinduism. I am not in the least surprised to see such clarity of thought coming from that direction. In fact, I knew a number of student theologians in my youth who noted that the New Testament was more than anything else, a merging of the Old Testament with the Veda, source of Hinduism, the wisdom of East meets West.
I hope that the political scene permits me to pursue those studies one day. But until then, we must unite to preserve humanity, dignity and liberty.
I'd love to believe it. If Trump or Cruz wins the presidency, and we control both the House and the Senate, then maybe it will still be possible to turn things around. Just maybe.
Simply put...we have a Sharia compliant media, and a Sharia compliant government.
That compliance is “thou shall not defame islam or it’s pervert prophet”.
Hindus know the score when it comes to Islam.
The Mughal emperors exterminated up to 270 million Hindus in India before the British arrived.
Not 270 million exterminated across the Middle East, Central Asia, and the Indian subcontinent.
270 million killed by Muslims in India alone. That doesn’t begin to take into account the countless Hindu temples & shrines looted & ground into powder by the Muslim conquerors.
When a Hindu talks about Muslim savagery, it’s good to listen.

Historically, India has took more damage from the jihadis than most everybody else.

There is no radical Islam. There is just Islam, regular Islam.
Islam commands, some obey.
Good post.
Shiva beats Allah in a death cage match.
Nicely written, cogent opinion.
