There was just a press conference in San Bernadino with local and federal officials.
It was originally scheduled hours earlier.
They were coming out with what "sources" had implied would be new information .
Instead, a few new crime scene photos were offered. Then the press was thanked for their patience.
In lieu of one new piece of information, an officer who was first on scene yesterday was asked to give his account of events. It was a compelling story, and worth hearing.
HOWEVER, it was not a press conference. Not one bit of information was given.
It appears this investigation has been told to stop informing the public. It seems someone(s) has given suggestions/orders.
Meanwhile, maybe in an effort to inform the public anyway, all kinds of stuff is coming out, but not officially. On background from "sources"...we're learning about servers being wiped, cell phones being smashed, etc.
WTH?
It was a long time before we found out that Russia had warned us about these guys....and more than once.
Obama ignored Putin. People died and were maimed.
CNN is always better during breaking news. They apparently have more assets on the ground, and you get live coverage instead of Shep Smith’s blather.

Indeed. What I gathered from The Jester last night is there seems to be a ‘cell’. They MAY be being evasive because of THAT (and not tipping their hand) OR that they want to avoid the muslim/terrorist connection entirely.
I think authorities are following all kinds of leads and don’t want to reveal info that would tip off potential collaborators. Neighbors said that packages were always being delivered and that people were coming and going all times of day and night. There was an arsenal of weapons and parts to make weapons at the house. It was bomb factory and who knows how many more bombs and firearms have been distributed.
There were more people involved and more plans underway. Collaborators have to be found and stopped.
No wonder the police are circumspect.
One reporter stated that he was told that all of the law enforcement types have been told to shut up about terrorism by the higher ups in Washington. Barry needs this one to confiscate the guns of law abiding Americans.
We’ve found out that there were ‘groups’ of young muslim men attending the house where our two terrorists were manufacturing bombs (for workplace violence).
Let’s let the police have a little time to peel back that onion and find out who these guys are and where they came from.
I don’t mind the police keeping their cards close to their chest for a while as they track them down.
By and large, the cops live here and don’t want terrorists next door any more than we do. Let them work.
OTOH, the political masters with bodyguards don’t see an issue with importing jihadis. Go figure.
For the rest of us, keep the powder dry and means of defense at hand.

Under what pretext is the FBI being given the lead role in this investigation? Obama will use this control to shape the public discourse about the nature of the attack. That being said, I think all this manipulation of law enforcement is going to be confirmed after Oba-Mao leaves office and can no longer destroy careers with impunity.

We’ve had this before, though they were military (still an arm of the government though).
CNN did a better job on the Paris attacks than Fox.
I can’t stand Shep Smith. “We don’t know this and we don’t know that...”
I also must have heard the word “fluid” 1,000 times yesterday.
CNN doesn’t feel they need to funnel everything through one talking head, like Fox seems to favor hysterical Shep.
During the Paris attack Fox was using CNN footage. Don’t they have the money and will to get their boots on the ground?
Nope. You’re not imagining. It’s a white-wash. Barry, Hillary, the DNC and their minions (MSM) are working overtime at full steam ahead to bury the facts and twist the narrative.
I also heard the word “delicate” a lot when the Fox broadcasters wouldn’t say the shooter’s name.
CNN seems to want to be better at news gathering than Fox. They also have more experts and commentators to keep their programing from getting stale. Fox has the same talking heads on speed dial and their coverage is rather distant when it comes to disasters too, in terms of getting on the scene reports and dissecting the information.
But when it comes to anything race related, CNN loses me, and they have gone ad nauseum with race grievance stories.
Otherwise, FR is my choice for news gathering. In fact I just made a donation.

Psychiatrist Nidal Malik Hasan, who possibly infiltrated the U.S. Army to commit the terrorist attack and mass murder at Ft. Hood? If so, yes, another “health” related, upscale government official.

In a democracy, it is essential that the citizens be told the truth by government employees and the Press.
The deliberate attempt to hide information from our citizens is criminal.
Hillary Clinton can give away our nation’s secrets, but we can’t hear the truth about events like this?
Guess what? Whoever else was involved with this already knows they were involved with this. It’s not a secret to the enemy.
All this secrecy is nothing more than the Democrats protecting their candidates at everyone’s expense. Screw them.

Our Commander In Chief will not tell the nation what we all know because this is his worst nightmare coming true. Everything he has done during his time in the White House has been fine tuned to suit his needs and agenda. By using the left leaning media, he's managed to control what we read, what we see and what we hear. This is the man who, when Nidal Hasan murdered 13 people and injured more than 30 others at Fort Hood, Texas while shouting "Allahu Akbar" as he opened fire, called it "work place violence."
This is the man who has yet to attach the word "Islamic" to any jihadi terror attack. This is the man who wants to bring 20,000 Syrian refugees into the U.S. even when his closest allies and White House confidants strongly advised him not to. This is the man who, only last week, told us there are no known threats to our nation and its citizens. This is the man who thinks our greatest threat is Climate Change. And this is the man who, even when all roads seem to point to a Jihadi Terror Attack where 14 American's were cut down where they stood and now lie in a morgue, pushes gun control during a time when EVERY AMERICAN SHOULD BE ARMED to protect themselves and their family.
Something very strange is happening with Obama...
