Republican strategist Karl Rove may be moving to help bankroll Ben Carson in the presidential race.
Reports say Rove helped to set up a meeting between Carson's campaign and billionaire Steve Wynn, but additional details were not immediately clear. Wynn, who owns casinos and hotels across the country, has contributed a combined $30,000 to political action committees associated with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie in this election cycle.
Ben Carson presently ranks fourth in the Washington Examiner's power rankings.
Wynn is munificent when it comes to campaign contributions, and he rarely discriminates between parties. Federal Election Commission filings indicate Wynn has made multiple contributions to both of his state's U.S. senators, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., and Sen. Dean Heller, R-Nev., as well as a range of officials across the country.
In spite of his registration as a Democrat, Wynn is a familiar face to Republican leaders, who selected him to serve as the honorary co-chairmen of the Republican National Committee's finance effort in 2008. However, that was not enough to win his vote: Wynn said he voted for President Obama that year.

“More proof that Karl Rove is simply Dick Morris without any evidence that he sucks toes during his off hours!”
Dick Morris makes more sense than Karl Rove.
Rove knows Carson has no chance. This is purely about hurting Trump. Another epic fail for Rove.
Good. It will be the biggest waste of money since the Boston tunnel project.
Karl is trying to take down Trump by supporting Carson
If true Rove must be able to convince a lot of wealthy people that it is in their interest to invest in the campaign of a candidate that has no chance of getting the nomination.
How many rich people are there that make of hobby of investing in failure.
They must think that Trump is truly a dangerous man if they are willing to invest major money to knock him out of the running.
There is always the risk in doing this that Carson could win. What is the downside of a Carson nomination and a Carson presidency? I don't see rich people investing in a scheme like this without weighing these possibilities.
Doesn’t the egg face have grandkids he can play with?!

Carson is the spitting image of Dr. Kincaid
Vegas Moneyman Steve Wynn, how are the Evangelicals going to like Carson feeding off the WAGES OF SIN CITY ?
The media stories on Carson are overwhelmingly positive now. I believe they want to keep Carson’s numbers up to allow Rubio (not Cruz) to catch fire & also to keep Trump from going even higher in the polls.
When a headline is too stupid to believe, one just doesn’t believe it.
Ben Carson the democrat was always the gop spoiler. The GOP does not want to win, they want to raise campaign money and get bribe money using the democrats they really support.
Rove’s a clown...
Ultimately, I think he’ll wind up doing more good than harm, bringing more interest to the Pubbie field, and once they’re interested, if they wind up voting, it won’t be fore Hitlery (or whomever winds up with the nomination over at the Party of the Dark Side).
“...THE ARCHITECT GW Bush called (Rove) with reverence.”
______________
True; however, “W” also referred to Rove as “Turd Blossom” ...perhaps w/a little less reverence; but, w/a lot more accuracy!
