Is Trump-mentum finally slowing down? While this is only one poll and the GOP establishment is still in panic mode over Trump's continued lead, a Reuters/Ipsos survey released Friday shows the GOP frontrunner lost 12 points in less than a week, "his largest single poll-to-poll drop since he took the primary lead in July," The Hill reports.
The rolling poll, which was conducted from Nov. 23 to Nov. 27, still has the real estate mogul at the top, finding favor among 31 percent of Republicans. However, support for Trump is down from a peak of 43 percent, which was registered on Nov. 22.
Reuters points to some of his recent controversial remarks, which may be to blame for the drop.
The dip follows criticism of Trump for comments he made in the aftermath of the Nov. 13 Paris attacks that killed 130 people and wounded hundreds more.
Following the attacks, Trump told an NBC News reporter that he would support requiring all Muslims within the United States to be registered to a special database, which his critics have likened to the mandatory registration of Jews in Nazi Germany.
Trump has also been criticized for flailing his arms and distorting his speech as he mocked a New York Times reporter, Serge Kovaleski, who is disabled.
Trump mocked the reporter as he defended his unsubstantiated assertion that during the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on the United States, he watched on television as "thousands and thousands" of people in New Jersey cheered while the World Trade Center fell.
But it wasn't only Trump who slipped in the poll. Ben Carson also dropped with only 15 percent of Republicans saying they'd support him.
At more than 8 percent, Sens. Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz tied for third place, followed by Gov. Jeb Bush, who came in at 7 percent.

Whistling past the graveyard. Trump is getting stronger.
Jeb! at 7%? I don’t trust this poll as far as I can throw it.
A decreasing sampling size also helps, say from 1299 on Nov 23 to around 346 on Nov 27.......
They pay attention to a Progressive interpretation of an incident but don’t react at all to a blatant mocking, by the President, of Special Olympics participants.
Shameful, absolutely shameful, not to say a peep of criticism of someone who mocks disabled young people yet take up the cause in defense of a man who hides behind his disability as if it were a shield against being irresponsible.
Absoslutely amazing.
(The world is upside-down.)
IMHO
This is the fifth time this has been posted. Please see other threads. Note. I did an analysis showing odd disconnect between registered and likely voters which show Trump at 35%. Waiting for post number 6
The establishment trying, unsuccessfully, to diminish Trump.
What poll is this? When the average starts dropping then it’s time to pay attention.
Agreed. I’m not a Trump fan but anything from Reuters is suspect in my mind.
“Trump told an NBC News reporter that he would support requiring all Muslims within the United States to be registered to a special database”
That is not true.
LMAO...oh my gosh, he’s going to crash and burn, he’s finished, it’s all over for Trump, oh how many times have I heard this? LMAO....
How did Jeb move up to 7%?
He still could win...
I'd be voting for Cruz in the primaries, but can live with Trump as POTUS
The relentless pounding the MSM gives him everyday will take it's toll...
It doesn't help that he is boorish and arrogant...(Sorry, but he is)
That will eventually turn people off...
Trump biggest asset is he is tapping into the anger of the conservative base at DC, and he has no voting record to expose, also he tells the truth about DC...
At some point he will be seriously scrutinized by the general pubic outside of his conservative base and the anti DC crowd.
Just as I didn’t get too worked up when this one poll showed Trump with 43%, neither am I going to get worked up when it shows him dropping 12 points. You need to look at the trend. Now, if other polls start showing a significant drop in Trump’s support, then a trend is developing, and it could indicate trouble for Trump.
What I find hilarious, however, is the reaction of many Trump supporters. Back when a number of polls were showing Carson closing on Trump, or even passing him, many Trumpkins would point to this Reuters poll to argue that the other polls were wrong and that Trump still had a big lead. To them, this was THE poll to believe. But now that this poll shows Trump losing support, the very same people that were posting the results of this poll in support of their position before are now blasting it as a biased poll that is just trying to create a false narrative of Trump fading.
If you are only going to accept the poll results that reinforce what you already believe and reject anything that is contrary to that belief, then you are going to be like the Romney supporters in the last race - completely shocked when the results are so different from what you think they should be...
You are correct, besides what goes up must go down. That’s just the way it is.
The media and GOPe fiddling around with the polls to attempt to convince people that their goofy attacks are working.
This is the same poll that many other threads cite as though it is all gospel.
LOL, I believe many are on to them now.
