When last month Ben Carson suggested that people confronted by a shooter should rush him en masse, ABC ran a story criticizing him, claiming that Carson "appears to be second-guessing" the victims of the mass shooting at Umpqua Community College in Oregon.
But on ABC's Good Morning America today, in the wake of the mass shooting in Colorado Springs, guess what an expert suggested? "If you can get other people to go with you, that is extremely important, in fact, that's one of the teaching tools today in schools is everyone at mass start throwing stuff at the shooter and go at him." So, did GMA host Dan Harris criticize the expert for second-guessing the victims? Of course not. He's not a Republican running for office. Harris called the expert's suggestion "great advice."

When Ben Carson suggested that in a mass shooting, people should rush the shooter en masse, ABC said he was “second-guessing the victims.”
Today, when an expert offered the same suggestion, ABC called it “great advice.”
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
The police chief of Wash DC also said to run, hide, or FIGHT when she was on 60 Minutes.
Whatever a Republican says, it is by definition, incorrect.
>>that’s one of the teaching tools today in schools is everyone at mass start throwing stuff at the shooter and go at him
Yeah...stuff like jacketed hollow-points!
History tells me a group of college students lined up against a wall and let a shooter shoot them one at a time, reload and continue shooting. Yes, many of them died but when the shooter ran out of shells the first time, the theory of attacking the assassin could have easily been put into play and taken down. Problem is these brain washed poor soles were like sheep to slaughter, literally and failed to resist. “Fight or die” is a good theory to LIVE by.
I’ve got six bullets in this revolver. Which of you wants to be the first to go?

Not just college students. Most people will hope that the shooter runs out of bullets. When I was 17 (way back in the late 70s) and working in a restaurant, the Pizza Hut across the street got robbed at closing time. After they cleaned out the register and safe, the took all the workers into the kitchen and killed them. Long before people talked about situational awareness and “have a plan”, I made a plan that I would die with my thumbs in the shooter’s eye sockets before I’d be herded into a line for execution. When I turned 21, I bought my first handgun. I carried it illegally until shall-issue CCW became the law in Florida. Today, I still can’t seem to see “No Guns” signs on business. I guess its just middle age presbyopia. They really should make those signs larger.
Who wants to rush first and get shot? Yeah I thought so...
ABC doesn't think in terms of 'right and wrong' - they think in terms of 'us" - (liberals) vs 'them' - (conservatives)...
It's not 'what's said' for liberals, it's 'who said it'. They reek of lover class...
ABC called it âgreat advice.â
..............
It really is; all persons present draw their weapons and throw lead....oh, I forgot.
Who wants to rush first and get shot? Yeah I thought so...

You surely will get shot if you don’t rush.

We both know that playing armchair quarterback but when its real time and no one has a gun I’m sure there will be hesitation. Best solution, carry a furearm and blow the punk away so he can’t do it again...
The Sunnis have long been representative of the Muslim extremist element to America yet we’re constantly told by the media and politicians that the Shiites of Iran are the #1 enemy. Have we forgotten that the Sunnies from Saudi Arabia attacked us on 9-11 and attacked us other times? The Saudis have their hooks in our politicians. Mark Steyn had a discussion on this relationship. Given the chance the Iranians would wipe out ISIS.

No argument there. I do, I will and have done.
I have prayed about just such a situation.
I pray for the wisdom to know if it's the right thing to do, and then the courage to do it.
Yes, I'll go first.
I can think of worse ways my family can say I died. I fear being a dead coward than dead trying something. I couldn’t bear the thought of my kids thinking why did he just cower when a shooter started killing. So alone or with others, I would move at the threat. In addition, if no kill shot is made, my hand may get 10 seconds on the shooter. I can ram fingers into eyes, rip at the throat or might even luck out with a hard twist of the head. I figure eyes are optimal but I will hope my hands will be divinely led.
I get that...
The House of Saud gave money to our political ‘elites’ in the past - - that’s my guess. Maybe helped with oil prices - who knows? I wouldn’t want to say Iranians are smarter - as that would be unkind. That said I don’t trust Iranian leaders... waaaay too much corruption.
