...Mocking a disabled person for their disability has been universally passe since at least the 1950s, and so some of his supporters have been out on twitter over the last couple of days offering various defenses for Trump's behavior on this video. It is important to note that Trump himself has (as far as I know) offered only this by way of "explanation" for his actions:
Defense 1. Trump didn't know Koveleski was disabled...
So, to believe that Trump had no idea what Koveleski looked like or the particulars of his disability, you would have to believe a) that the entire written record of their numerous interactions is fabricated, and Koveleski in particular (the very person on whose word Trump is staking his 9/11 claims) is flat out lying b) that he said "the poor guy" when referring to Koveleski because... well, I have no idea what the "because" is even supposed to be on that one and c) Trump was able to pull off an imitation of Koveleski's specific physical deformity purely by chance...
2. "The Media" mocked Trig Palin for having Down's Syndrome, so they are fair game.
...if Tom Brokaw insulted Dick Cheney, that would not give Rick Santorum free license to punch Jake Tapper in the face. That's more or less exactly the defense that is being raised by Trump supporters, though.
3. No one is above mockery...
The problem comes when people are mocked, not for the things they've done, but for the physical conditions over which they have no control...
Trump has demonstrated time and time again that he simply is not suited for the office either by temperament or by judgment...

This is better comedy than anything on TV. Oh please, oh please, explain to me, high priest in the church of the great deity, Trump, what a job is. Because I have only been working since I was 14 years old, and have never been without at least one job for more than a month in the last 30 years. And my parents, who are in their 80's, are still working and have been doing so since they were 13 years old. But please enlighten. Asshat.

If he's so against the Uniparty (which would be great if true), then why has he given so many thousands, or is it millions, to various Clinton campaigns and foundations? And why was he hanging out with the Clintons on a regular basis before he grew tired of bankrupting his businesses and decided to run for President?

Secondly, out of the many thousands of "businesses" he has had, Trump has only declared 4 bankruptcies ( one of which he took over for a friend, to save him from going under ), which is perfectly legal to do and bad money on them.
Thirdly, he wasn't/isn't "friends" of the Clintons...he was paying legal "bribes" so that they wouldn't meddle in his business deals and smooth a path for them instead.
You'd understand all of that, if you weren't a lofo Paulinista. :-)

Haters are just lashing out because this non-issue has run it’s course and has had zero impact on persuading people to not vote for Trump. Trump continues to pack his campaign rallies with future voters. The media is mad that they can’t make people dislike Trump. Trump wins again.
So you think it’s respectable for one to declare four bankruptcies, and to pay (in your own words) legal bribes. And that is what you look for in a President. Super! I understand much better now. And you are a Trump worshiper.
