Controversy over local high school student's tweet [Thoughtcrime]

(MyFoxBoston.com) -- A local high school cheerleading captain was disciplined after she sent out a tweet about illegal immigrants. She says it was a political statement, not a racial one! FOX25 spoke with the teen who says she was taking a page from Donald Trump. Caley Godino is a senior at Revere High School and she says part of their homework is to watch these presidential debates and her tweet was simply about a hot button issue in the headlines. "When only 10 percent of Revere votes for mayor cause the other 90 percent isn't legal," Godino said in the tweet. She says it was a response to a tweet from her teacher about the low voter turnout for November's mayoral race. Caley says she meant her tweet as a political comment not a racial comment.

But after other students complained, the school stepped in. Revere Superintendent Dianne Kelly says the district believes in freedom of speech, but cannot support what she calls insensitive language. "If you're going to stand up and say something that other people will find offensive- than you need to be prepare to deal with the ramifications of that," Kelly said. Caley's mother says her daughter who is the high school's head cheerleader is now banned from cheering for the rest of the season and doesn't think the punishment fits the crime. Kelley said, the school did not discipline Caley because of the tweet alone. But because of student privacy, she couldn't comment on specifics...

George Orwell was famously quoted as saying, "In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act." In his dystopian novel, 1984, Orwell popularized the term, thoughtcrime: the criminal act of holding beliefs or doubts that oppose or question "the party". Orwell's "Thought Police (thinkpol)" were the secret police of 1984 whose job was to uncover and punish thoughtcrime against "the party". Thinkpol used surveillance and psychological monitoring to find and eliminate members of society who challenge the party's authority and ideology. 2015 America is there!

Thoughcrime is alive today and quickly and ruthlessly enforced in America's schools, corporations, government agencies, and everywhere. The Boston School District's thinkpol have been sanctioned to enforce thoughtcrime on campus now. In addition to not believing that illegals should vote, other thoughtcrimes include believing in the rights of unborn babies, disagreeing with same-sex marriage, having a negative opinion regarding homosexual adoption, or not commissioning the Black Lies Matter movement. It also appears that the codification of these types of laws, in violation of the first amendment of the constitution, is near. There can be no disagreement with "the party" in the USA. The prevailing politically correct Zeitgeist of thought and behavior forces Americans to live a lie by denying reality. Fear of thoughtcrime and thinkpol compels cognitive dissonance. If reality contradicts the "the party", it must be eradicated for PC is truth. The Bible foretells that it in the last days people would we persecuted for mere words (Isaiah 29:21). What can save us from this new totalitarian system? Perhaps only believing the words Jesus spoke to Pontius Pilate...

John 18:37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

Caley's mother told us the school decided to discipline her daughter because of the intense backlash. And because of this controversy, the school is now creating a group of teachers and students to come up with a curriculum about diversity and acceptance.

The diversity and acceptance courses will be taught in Room 101.

Amazing how the Left has made the enforcement and agreement with the law a crime.

Illegals: they are criminals

Sue the school. Every time this happens, someone needs to sue the school. The schools don’t fear God or reason, but they understand money.

“1984 was a warning, not a guidebook....................”

The left uses it for a how-to manual.

Thoughtcrime does not entail suspension from the cheerleading squad. Thoughtcrime is suspension from the cheerleading squad.

Dianne Kelley doesn’t have an email, but she has a phone number, 781-286-8226. According to the Revere website.

http://genius.com/George-orwell-nineteen-eighty-four-part-1-chapter-2-annotated

In Oceania there were no laws.

“He was already dead, he reflected. It seemed to him that it was only now, when he had begun to be able to formulate his thoughts, that he had taken the decisive step. The consequences of every act are included in the act itself. He wrote:

Thoughtcrime does not entail death: thoughtcrime IS death.

Now he had recognized himself as a dead man it became important to stay alive as long as possible. Two fingers of his right hand were inkstained. It was exactly the kind of detail that might betray you.”

And what jurisdiction does this school have on her own private account?

This is a total attack on your civil liberties.

So a political comment, is punished by a government agency. Sue the snot out of them. If they allow the government to punish this political thought also, then she has a moral right to resist in any effective manner.

Just sent this email to Revere’s superintendent assistants:

You need to check out the U.S. Constitution. Specifically, the 1st Amendment. You know, the amendment that protects free speech. By punishing Caley Godino for her constitutionally protected right to free speech you stand in stark violation of the Constitution.

To refresh your memory, below is the plain text of the 1st Amendment.

Amendment I - Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

You’re educated people. You should know better. Now’s the time to do better.

Revere Superintendent Dianne Kelly says the district believes in freedom of speech, but cannot support what she calls insensitive language. "If you're going to stand up and say something that other people will find offensive- than you need to be prepare to deal with the ramifications of that," Kelly said.

A very odd application of logic.

She says she 'believes in freedom of speech'. Yet she also says that she does not support it.

Then she basically says that you 'if you do the crime, you do the time'... In other words, the Cheerleader's exercise of her First Amendment Rights (Freedom of Speech) was a crime in the eyes of the Superintendent - who is the sole arbiter of what constitutes 'acceptable speech'.
So 'Freedom of Speech' becomes what the Superintendent deems it to be.

Educators as a group are a collection of the most stupid people walking. Most have chose education because they couldn’t hack their original major. So we end up with ignorant people that cannot think for themselves but rely on some arbitrary rules made up by another dumb a$$. Beginning in the primary schools and continued in to college we have a multitude of people stuck on stupid that think they are the smartest individuals that ever walked on earth. Most of these idiots then move up the ranks until they have proven the Peter Principal.
