Donald Trump corrected reports from the media suggesting that he actually wanted a government database for all Muslim Americans to be registered in order to stop terrorism.
âI didnât suggest a database â a reporter did,â he wrote on Twitter moments ago. âWe must defeat Islamic terrorism and have surveillance, including a watch list, to protect America.â
The media spent most of the day reacting to Trumpâs positive reaction to a question posed by reporters as to whether he supported a plan to register American Muslims.

This is what you are calling disparaging?
No way this can be considered disparaging of Trump.
Sorry, Cruz is not going to attack Trump. They have somethings cooked up between themselves. It will be our surprise.
It's true.
âCruz Disagrees With Trump on Muslim Registryâ
"I'm a big fan of Donald Trump's, but not a fan of government registries of American citizens," Cruz told reporters before a town hall at Briar Cliff University. The "First Amendment protects religious liberty."
Problem is, this is consistent with Trump’s previous positions on the surveillance state. That’s why it rings true. It is not inconsistent for Trump to support big government surveillance.

Cruz is walking a fine line here.
My advise to Cruz would be to stick to his campaign and avoid tampering with Trump. That would be bad juju for Cruz.
That’s usually how it works with the media and or a planted person in the crowd bringing up the crazy idea to make the candidate look bad.
I see Cruz consistently refusing to attack the other republican candidates. He will answer questions about his stance, not dodge the question.
“âListen, I like Donald Trump. I recognize the media would love to get me and other candidates to attack Donald Trump,â Cruz added. âThere may be other candidates who want to do that â I ainât going to do it. So, Iâll tell you my policy views, but I have no interest in attacking Donald Trump or, for that matter, attacking Ben Carson. Both are good men. And Iâm not interested in throwing rocks at either one of them.â”
A true gentleman.
That’s good. A safe bet and good strategy for him regarding Trump. It’ll keep Cruz out of the meat grinder.
“My advise to Cruz would be to stick to his campaign and avoid tampering with Trump. That would be bad juju for Cruz.”
I think Cruz’s comments in the last part of the post you responded to demonstrated he is.
Cruz did not disparaging Trump.
He doesn’t support registry. He had no criticism of Trump and specifically refused to attack Trump. Read Cruz’s actual words in post #38, not the media spin about his words.
It’s a matter of semantics, I guess. He is not criticizing Trump. He is criticizing govt. registries of US citizens. And Trump never said anything about those. The reporter did.
Perfect, absolutely. These gay libs fail to realize that if left to the politicians they support, people like Takei would be decapitated or flying off buildings. I believe ISIS does that regularly now, throws gays off buildings.
I just saw an ad on Fox News that said that Trump will address the Muslim database issue on Greta van Susteran’s show, On the Record, this evening. (I was a little amazed they already have commercials dealing with this.)
By the way, for those who don’t know, Barbara Walters interviews Trump, his wife, and his children tonight at 10 on ABC.
When you see or hear the phrase “Trump Refuses To Rule Out” from the media a blatant lie will follow.
At the start of The Five, Juan Williams (who brought up the specter of Trump and Nazism) and Kimberly (who pointed out he was clearly talking about people coming into the country from outside) were literally shouting at each other over their interpretations of Trump’s comments about the supposed database! They both looked utterly disgusted and genuinely furious at each other.
During this discussion, Fox dishonestly had printed in big letters at the bottom of the screen:
Trump: ‘I would certainly implement Muslim Database’
Of course he said the first part (but never the second part) of that quote after talking about a wall and immigration, not after the reporter’s initial mention of a Muslim database. Fundamental deceitfulness from the GOPe’s mouthpiece.
‘I’m a big fan of Donald Trump’s, but I’m not a fan of government registries of Americans citizens,” he said when asked about Trump’s remarks on the need for a Muslim-tracking database.’
Wrong.
Cruz isn't.
But even if he were, what exactly do you expect? Do you think Trump should run unopposed?
LOL...The media just got TRUMPED!!! Gotta love him...amazing guy!
I am so disappointed — I want the allah akbar maniacs to ALL register. Go TRUMP!!Praise JESUS!!
