The Utah Republican endorsed Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Florida, on Thursday, saying he is strong on defense and foreign policy.
"We have to do everything we can to make sure we strengthen our national defense, and do everything we can to make sure that this country and the people that are living in this country are safe, and Marco is the right person to do that," Love said in a statement.
Love, the daughter of Haitian immigrants, said she realized at a roundtable discussion with Rubio when he campaigned in Utah last month that their stories are similar.
"And for the first time in a long time, I felt someone who really loves this country and doesn't take advantage of, take for granted the benefits that this country has and also willing to put himself and take on responsibilities of being a citizen in this country," the freshman congresswoman said.

Rino birds of a feather
“she realized at a roundtable discussion with Rubio when he campaigned in Utah last month that their stories are similar. “
Yeah...they’re both backstabbing RINO’s.
Anotherone jumps on board The Cheap Labor Express
All of these multi-national crapweasels need to be Cantorized
:Mia Love (R-Utah)
Because the R stands for âRomneyâ.
Tea Party proprietor my a$$.
Another tea party candidate infected with the beltway fungus, or is it a bacterium?
Disappointing...
The Tea Party has been missing a lot on these RINOS and require investigators and psychologists. They should have a refund for their money whenever these POS’s RINO’s do a 360 while pretending to be “conservatives” just to receive TP endorsements....
Oh for f#$ks sake, Mia!
Tea Party favorite, my rear! These people just use the TP like TP.
Mia should have stayed out of this. I think less of her because of this endorsement.
Not feeling the Mia love in this thread...
I’m not sure I understand the politics behind this one. I like Rubio and think he speaks with clarity. But his immigration confusion and establishment backing bother me ...a bunch.
I think she just lost any further Tea Party endorsements
I think she just lost any further Tea Party endorsements
But his immigration confusion and establishment backing
*************************************************
He has establishment backing because he is on board The Cheap Labor Express. The only confusion is on the part of some voters who don’t realize he wants to give away the country. He is a very accomplished liar, so the confusion is somewhat understandable.
Another supposed Tea Party superstar who became an almost instant disappointment. Conservatives need a better vetting process.
He's competing against others in his lane or niche or heat -- Bush, Christie, Kasich, Fiorina. If they're not doing well, those votes go to Rubio and he becomes a real possible nominee. Maybe Trump or Carson or Cruz from another lane or niche will beat him out, but right now he's attractive to elected officials who don't much care for Bush or Christie or Kasich.
I’m not going to jump on her for this. She’s a very junior congresscritter in an establishment GOP district. Endorsing anyone outside the establishment circle would do her no good and would open her to retaliation from her more senior colleagues. I am confident that if Cruz, Trump, or Carson get the nomination, she will be enthusiastically in support at that time.
