HOUSTON, Texas – Presidential candidate Ted Cruz today released the following statement regarding Gov. Bobby Jindal's suspension of his presidential campaign:
“Bobby Jindal is a friend, a patriot, and an incredible governor who has consistently and passionately championed conservative values. He brought a unique talent and many strengths to the Republican primary competition.
“His focus on substantive policy matters advanced the debate that our party must have on the issues most important to American voters. And his vision for fundamental tax reform, as well as repealing and replacing Obamacare, helped set an important standard among the Republican field. He presented bold policy proposals that helped strengthen the ideas put forth in this primary to prepare our eventual nominee for the general election.
“Bobby will always be an important conservative leader in the Republican Party and serve to better the future of our country. Heidi and I wish Supriya, Bobby, and their family all the best.”

Classy as always.
And Cruz is a gentleman.
Unfailing class.
I’m glad to see Cruz handle this well, and I’m glad to see Jindal drop out. Governor Jindal was only going to take votes from good people, so we’re better off without him in the race this time around. Let Jeb/Rubio/Christie split the RINO vote, while patriotic Americans choose a single conservative.
apparently, not all your posts are wrong. my apologies.
Always....in victory or defeat...
Good statement, Cruz is trying to rake in the Jindal supporters.
Bit by bit, as they drop out, he may gather them in and rise to the top.
Snarky weasel lost me when he went after Cruz for not going after Trump (my one and two, respectively).
One ineligible candidate out.... two more to go.
This kind of thing is why Taya Kyle who had been Backing Rick Perry wrote to thank Ted Cruz for his class when Perry Dropped out.
I am glad on both counts. Sen. Jindal would be a welcome addition to a body that presently needs all the help it can get.
Well done, Senator Cruz.
Hey, folks make mistakes. No hard feelings.
Anytime I can help educate you, just let me know. I’m glad to help.
The kind of classy statement I would expect from Cruz. Jindal would be an asset in the Cruz administration.
LOL, yep.
“Anytime I can help educate you, just let me know. Iâm glad to help.”
That was totally called for.
Although you haven’t educated me yet...
I am not a Cruz supporter by any means, but he is always a gentleman in these circumstances. Can’t at all fault him on that front.
