President Obama hopes to make gun control the top issue of his final year in office, saying Americans arenât more violent than other people but they âhave more deadly weapons to act out their rage.â
In an interview published Tuesday in GQ magazine, Mr. Obama said easy access to guns is âthe only variableâ between the U.S. and other developed countries.
âThe main thing that Iâve been trying to communicate over the last several of these horrific episodes is that, contrary to popular belief, Americans are not more violent than people in other developed countries,â Mr. Obama said. âBut they have more deadly weapons to act out their rage.â

NOT NEWS! The lyin' king has been pushing this for a long time and now he's gonna 're-double' his efforts to violate the constitution some more? Lucky that other "developed" countries never see 'mass shootings'. Oh, wait. I see the difference. In the US 'mass shootings' are done by guns and that's different than the incident in Paris by disgruntled immigrants seeking assylum. And is in no way related to any sort of evil backwards religion.

My very last gun is coming back to me in about 2-3 months. I had bought a Taurus PT111 back in 1999 and had found out recently that it was under recall. Sent it back, they said they would replace it with a G2 model (they lost a court case on several pistols).
I’ve got enough, for me and my family and my grand kids when they will need them.
Whatever Obama does this last year, I won’t give them up and they will have to come and get them (after I’ve dispersed the bulk of it).

Sure worked for the French! Nearly 500 killed/wounded and no evidence (yet) that any of them were armed. Sad.

Gun confiscation in the United States. That ought to stop ISIS from slaughtering us. /s

Maybe he’s trying to protect his newly imported Muslim terrorists.

rktman, you are precisely correct.
President 0bama wishes to couple his gungrabbing with his desire to foist millions of Muslim so-called "refugees" on the U.S.

Did you know....."Membership in a terrorist organization does not prohibit a person from possessing firearms or explosives under current federal law," the Government Accountability Office concluded in 2010. The law prohibits felons, fugitives, drug addicts and domestic abusers from purchasing a firearm in the United States. But people on the FBI's consolidated terrorist watchlist - typically placed there when there is "reasonable suspicion" that they are a known or suspected terrorist - can freely purchase handguns or assault-style rifles..............almost as if obama wants a attack here, then he can take that 2nd amendment away from us.

[...] saying Americans aren't more violent than other people but they "have more deadly weapons to act out their rage."I'm not so fearful of enraged people, and am wondering why Obama would choose to frame the question in that matter. Is he maybe projecting?
Statistically speaking, it's more reasonable to fear people who - calmly, deliberately - attempt to a) commit a drive-by shooting; b) take hostages; c) burglarize someone's home; d) mug someone; etc.
Oh, and then there's that little matter of putting down tyrants, too. I guess that he might be fearful of that.
Regards,
