Deb Howard of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America spoke to a packed room at South Church on Sunday afternoon.
She was invited by Valerie Fagin, one of the social justice associates of South Church, who introduced Howard.
âSince the Newtown (Connecticut) shootings three years ago, Iâve wanted to do something,â Fagin said.
The Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting occurred on Dec. 14, 2012, in Newtown when 20-year-old Adam Lanza fatally shot 20 children and six adult staff members.
âWe know what to do, but weâre not getting it done,â said Howard of North Hampton and a mother of two.
Much like Mothers Against Drunk Driving, MDA in America was created to advocate for stronger laws and policies that will reduce gun violence and save lives.

Know thine enemy.
It reads very similar to Rules for Radicals.
You would think they might have the sense to look around them. Where do the greatest incidences of gun violence happen? In gun free zones or cities with strict gun control laws. Meanwhile, my local church has no less than three armed ushers at every service and I can assure you that I feel safer in church than a gun free movie theater.
“MDA in America was created to advocate for stronger laws and policies that will reduce gun violence and save lives.”
The problem is that NONE of their proposals will do ANYTHING to reduce “gun violence”. They will just make it harder for law abiding citizens to own guns.
They know it they just don't care. The Moms Needing A Little Action will gladly sacrifice your loved ones on the alter of their ideology.
Our church doesn't have one of those.
WHAT! You mean that there’s not SJW* chapter at your church? Your church must be racist. :>}
*Social Justus Warriors
Somehow I think we are both better of without a social justice associate.

Looks like people who want to dress up and play church but don't want all of the real messiness of dealing with sin as laid out in Scripture.
Oh, here are Reverends Chris and Laura:
So at least they don’t purport to be Christian.
You know, if he shaved, they could pass for sisters.
They should change the name of the organization to Moms Speak Out for Suicidal Idiocy.
Anybody talking about a way to control people whose “value system” includes murdering another human?
“sense” is just the word they’ve picked because “control” wasn’t working. Otherwise, it means nothing to these people.
Well, apparently the wise and wonderfully retrospective madonna says respect and love should do it. IDIOT!
Gun sense means carry a long gun and a good sidearm as backup.
You mean people actually LIVE in the church? Gee, I wonder what the church's core tenets might be that makes people desire to live there. :-)
