France will be grieving for a long time after Friday's bloodshed. The death toll is still rising, the current number a staggering 132. French President Francois Hollande addressed the tragedy before the French Parliament on Monday, making it clear his nation is not dealing with any ordinary enemy.
"France is at war," says Hollande. "We are not in a war with a civilization, because these people are not one."
Hollande said France will be increasing its military efforts to "destroy" the evil terror organization.
France is sending an aircraft carrier to the Middle East, according to Hollande, and will be "tripling its forces" in the region to combat ISIS.
"Their crime, far from shaking the resolve of France, reinforces our determination to destroy them," said Hollande.
Over the weekend, France began launching airstrikes on key ISIS strongholds. Hollande will be meeting with Presidents Obama and Putin to discuss a more united effort against the terrorists.
The French leader also announced he will be introducing a bill to expand France's state of emergency for three months.
Following Hollande's speech, the entire assembly sang the French national anthem.
If France makes good on its promise to destroy ISIS then I will proudly fly the French flag outside my home.

Call your reps and tell them not one Syrian refugee is to be admitted to the USA.
You do not want another 9/11.
You do not want another Paris ...this time on our soil.
For the morons in DC who say we need to take our fair share of refugees, our fair share was 7,000 dead men and women killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, and 50,000 wounded warriors.
That was our fair share.
The Arabs with all their oil money can take care of their brothers.
Not our problem.
Make the call. It is time the jerks in DC are reminded who the bosses of this country really are.
"France has emerged as the most prominent backer of Syria's armed opposition and is now directly funding rebel groups around Aleppo as part of a new push to oust the embattled Assad regime."
How about the Utopian Socialist frogtards stop FUNDING ISIS and see how that works?
"Detente, Avant Garde, Souffle, Chocolate Mousse"
Screw metrics that don’t mean anything. The only metrics that are real are those that correspond to reality: kick the Muslims out of France, burn their mosques to the ground, and bring the sword to them without quarter.
They will be much more effective with all six of them involved.
“Did you even read the article?”
I did...thanks for posting. Just hope Hollande continues the effort.
While 0$h!t is refusing to step up the attacks, and is importing millions of them into this country.
The “French Military” is one of the best in the world. Get your head out of the sand!
I very much look forward to being proved mistaken.
When will the literal French boots be crushing the last skulls into the dust in Raqqa?
Probably before our OBUMMER led military will!
As much as I distrust Putin, he is right in calling for a unified attack on ISIS. Perhaps continuing such an attack against the Arab oil nations would be a good follow-on, since they are supplying much of the money to ISIS.
LOL!
If they’re not willing to deport them, why even bother abroad?
Good. But where is the plan to disinfect the local French neighborhoods that are overrun by the Muzzies? It’s not the Syrians that attacked Paris twice, nor was it them that burned 10,000 cars in Paris. It’s the imports and converts from the last 20 years.
True enough.
Among my points is that Western Civilization is so far essentially unwilling to defend itself in this existential struggle.
Until we are, we face the annihilation of our people and culture by islamists who have no such unwillingness to pursue their ends.
Why doesn't he just deploy The French Foreign Legion and let them set their own "Rules of Engagement"?
On that, you are exactly right.
What i wish people would remember is that France is a very small country with few of its former possessions, nevertheless, still carries a pretty big stick militarily on our side.
i was in France on 9/11 and will never forget the grief of the French people and how wonderfully they treated me. Luv ‘em.
3 X 0 = 0
I agree, though hardly small.
