Public schools are increasingly revealing their hostility to families and children that choose to home school. As we see across our college campuses each day, intelligent dialectic is not allowed within these institutions. Disagreement with any of their diktats is most certainly racist, or hurtful microagression requiring administrators to seek a "safe place", or a crime punishable by legal action.

Perhaps home school parents would not agree with their daughters sharing bathrooms and locker rooms with transgender pubescent boys? Or they would teach their children that homosexuality is dangerous behavior physically and a sin spiritually? Whatever the case, there can be no disagreement with the omniscient, omnipotent, ever-present, state (beast) which knows better than parents how to raise children. Even though God tells parents to train their children, the public school system is firmly committed to Hillary Clinton's concept of schooling which says, "It takes a village" (not a family).

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old , he will not depart from it.

I’m of the opinion that some people ought to start disappearing.

It’s all about money the schools want from increased enrollment of home-schooled kids.

Santa Rosa is in the panhandle.

It's 90% white, has one of the smallest immigrant populations of any Florida county, has a big military contingent, lot of farmers, it's the home of good ol' boy golfer Bubba Watson.

One of the last counties in Florida you'd assume for this kind of nonsense.

Ask someone who's anti-homeschooling who should be a child's primary educators, the parents or the government.

If they answer "the government," there's no point in arguing with them.

All the schools/FL want is the federal money. They could care less about the kids.

The homeschoolers should stand on the precedent set forth by the current president.

It's critical for anyone home-schooling, in any state, to join HSLDA - they really do have our backs.

(Oddly, deep-blue state Konnecticut has some of the strongest home-school protections in the country, but we still partner with HSLDA).

Homeschool ping

A number of homeschool parents in Florida have been ordered by a public school district to register their children in classes within three days or face criminal prosecution under state law.

Government schools need to be entirely abolished; their functions returned to the private sector. Educating our children is far too important to let government continue to make a hash of it.

Home School Legal Defense Association,

Every home school should belong to this legal defense organization. They are great lawyers and super committed to defending the right to home school. If child protections services come after you or your children, they will defend you.

Don’t leave homeschool without legal protection. We kept giving to them for years after we finished homeschooling as an insurance policy for homeschoolers who could not afford the meager annual dues or who were ignorant of the need for legal protection.

I had a lawyer in town call me about homeschooling my son. He lived on my street. He was anti-home school and I knew this. He called pretending to have a friend who wanted to home school their child.

I told him the first thing they need was legal protection with the Homeschool defense group. The conversation was cut short and I never heard from him again. The fascists look for easy pickin’s.
