As the Republican candidates for President get ready for their next debate tonight, the potential 2016 GOP voters continue to express their support for non-traditional candidates. Businessman Donald Trump and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson maintain their lead in the latest Economist/YouGov Poll as the top choices of registered voters who identify as Republicans. Carson pulls even with Trump when Republican voters name their second choice: just about four in ten say each man is their first or second choice.

Thanks, Amntn!
This isn’t the first time Jeb has dipped, so I would call him a double dipper, or even a serial dipper.
Jeeze.. give it up, Jeb. You have NO chance... none.
This isnât the first time Jeb has dipped, so I would call him a double dipper, or even a serial dipper.

I would have to say that Jeb is a ‘dip $hit’......
Trump 42
Carson 41
Rubio 27
Cruz 26
I agree. Everyone below Cruz is a pretender. Scrap the rest and let these four battle it out.
Everyone from Huck on down should leave now. We need for this thing to get real now. But my guess is that the GoPee strategy will continue to be to have these loosers drag it out with the waning hope that somehow Heb can “pull it out.”
Ben C Hammer, pro-amnesty FReepers hit hardest.
Trump will be in Beaumont this Saturday.
Trump, the Doc and the two Cubans... Interesting
The numbers here show pure estogen. Carson gets 14 With men but 23 with women Trump 32 and 32 and leads overall 32 18. Women have to wake up!
Thanks for the ping.
Feeling pretty good about how this election is shaping up.
Fox will say this online poll is not reliable. Which of course is BS. If it showed Carson leading Bloody Megyn would start her program off with it.
“During the United States presidential election, 2012 campaign, on the basis of one of the most extensive opinion polls ever conducted, YouGov predicted that Barack Obama would win the national vote by 2%.[18] This prediction proved to be one of the most accurate out of all pollsters covering the election.[19]”
” Jeb Bush dips to 3% support “
Hmmm. Guess they’re dusting off a chair for Bush at the kiddie table after tonight.
At this rate Little Jebbie is about to be regulated to the kiddie table of debates.
“Poppy” is going to have to come up to the microphone and tell the Republican primary voters why they must let Jeb fix it!
I believe that Gonzo is correct; I’ve seen that sentiment around a lot.
In my case, I’d like to modify it to, “Trump can win without selling out.” Whereas most other candidates tend to be beholden to big donors, bleh.
I love Ted Cruz - don’t get me wrong - but he does not pass my personal test for natural born citizen. While his mother is an American citizen, his father was not at the time of birth and he was born in another country (Canada). That is too slippery a slope for me to accept. Pretty soon, we will have anchor babies running for the presidency in some nightmare scenario to me.
âThe three major networks in their morning shows all failed to mention Cruzâ name. Believe me, that was not an accident.â
Yep.
That happens all the time. It is not an oversight.
It happens on GOPe media like Salem Radio with Hugh Hewitt and Michael Medved and others, as well.
I noticed this a long tome ago that these media outlets, liberal mainstream and GOPe both have had a tactic of ignoring Cruz, pretending like he s not there. It is a tactic.
Examples abound. A few days ago there was a thread with a link to a quiz to see what candidate the quiz take most matches.
The page feature a montage of candidates, conspicuously absent being Ted Cruz.
