President Obama said Monday that the Keystone pipeline and other such fossil-fuel development projects would make Earth "uninhabitable."
"We've got to lead by example, because ultimately, if we're going to prevent large parts of the Earth from becoming not only inhospitable but uninhabitable, then we're going to have to keep some fossil fuels in the ground rather than burn them," Mr. Obama told cheering grassroots supporters at a gathering in Washington.

It’s not stupidity. The Democrat party is so bankrupt of any new or good ideas that they can’t get elected without the support of the kookiest, most extreme elements of society, the ones who want to tear down our country’s economy for the sake of their radical, twisted ideology. The Democrat party cannot survive without catering to a broad range of kook constituencies, including the environmentalists. They need their money, their propaganda and their votes. The Keystone rejection has been their payoff since day one. The decision was made before Obama was even elected. The delay in “finalizing” the decision was only to delay the blowback from the general public as long as possible.
Of course, calling these supporters kooks is only half the story. The broader, non-kooky plot is to educate our children with this environmentalist “faith,” have them reject all traditional faiths, and then have the Democrat party stand up as the savior and messiah to deliver them from the phony crisis. That way the Democrat party can eventually consolidate enough power to usher in the communist state, which was the only real goal of the true puppet masters all along.
