In a lengthy interview with Rolling Stone magazine this week, former Pink Floyd front man and Israel-hating obsessive Roger Waters demonstrated his all-consuming preoccupation with the Jews.
He speaks about watching Jewish Life Television late at night and reading about "old local Jewish ladies" who organize protests against him. Like most anti-Semites, he peddles central Jewish coordination theories, asserting that pro-Israel efforts, such as this very column, are organized by the prime minister of Israel's office. "Hasbara, the arm of the Prime Minister's Office that we all know starts with Netanyahu in Tel Aviv. Itâs very organized, and I see it all over my Facebook page all the time. It's this hugely organized thing."
But for all his loathing of Israel, including flying pigs with Mogen Dovids on them as his concerts, comparing Israel to Nazi Germany and Israel's policies to the Holocaust, and publicly condemning far more successful performers such as Jon Bon Jovi for performing in Israel, Rogers insists he is not a Jew-hater. "It's not the Israeli people, not Jews, not Judaism. I would never dream of attacking them."

Roger is just another brick in the wall.
Rog made a career singing of his war related daddy issues. He blames Jews. Simple math. Rog is a mental case without a proper caseworker.
Well, there you go...
And he’s been without a proper band for a long time too! lol
Dang, and I was kind of starting to like Pink Floyd!
I'm 53, and I've NEVER understood the devotion, the fervor, the worship of Pink Floyd's music.
It was basically a presupposition in the 70s and 80s that one was supposed to LOVE that band.
And all along they said Barrett was the crazy one.
It’s bad enough that Shumley Boteach was Michael Jackson’s love guru, but now it seems he’s a ranting paranoid as well.
I saw Waters in 1988 or thereabouts. Musically, a great show. But man, the political whining! He even stopped the show for about 15 minutes to take questions from the audience about Waters’ views on Oliver North, the Berlin Wall, etc. It was incredibly annoying.
“... I’ve NEVER understood the devotion, the fervor, the worship of Pink Floyd’s music.”
Me either. Personally I find their music boring. Every time one of their songs comes on the radio I change the channel.
Music was awesome. He’s a raving psycho. There is much more of a case for bitter hatred of England than there is for Israel when it comes to the middle east.
Pretty much every border today over there was drawn by the Brits. Half the ruling monarchs were installed by them.
Never confuse an artists work or fame for intelligence in any other arena.
The lunatic is in my head...
It always astonishes me that entertainers like to expound on political matters.
I wonder how they would like it if politicians reviewed, for publication, their artistry-—or lack of it.
.
Good summary.
Is this the same Schmuley Boteach that was Michael Jackson’s personal rabbi?
Gilmour was by far and away the more talented, and by all accounts I’ve read, pretty much a gentleman, albeit a little left leaning, but mostly quiet about his politics.
Hey, that’s my line!
