The word didn’t get out fast enough to some scientists that their data needed “adjustment,†and somehow the following made it past the peer reviewers. From the Christian Science Monitor:
In a paper published in the Journal of Glaciology on Friday, researchers from NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, the University of Maryland in College Park, and the engineering firm Sigma Space Corporation offer a new analysis of satellite data that show a net gain of 112 billion tons of ice a year from 1992 to 2001 in the Antarctic ice sheet.
That gain slowed to 82 billion tons of ice per year between 2003 and 2008. (snip)

Everyone knows this is caused by man induced global warming for which we as a species must turnover all of our rights to the government so that they can take all of our money and put a stop to it.... the warming function of climate change produced an updraft enlarging the hole while sucking in cold air at ground level. That is, increased global CO2 yields decrease high atmospheric ozone via a complex convection process.
I remember a bunch of libtards in an online video planning a walk to the north pole to “show global warming”
And since it was freezing and blowing so hard they had to cancel it they said “Well that’s what you get with ‘climate change’ - you get variability”
In other words, weather.
And they said it with a straight face.
I think this might have been on of the first uses of the new and more popular ‘climate change’, because even they realized how stupid they would have sounded talking about ‘global warming’ in a blizzard.

Not to worry, next summer they can just canoe their way up to the candy cane pole that marks the north poles pin point location. :>}

Since the global warming folks can make things up, why can’t I.
So my theory is that the whole global warming scam is a conspiracy to cover up a shift of the earth’s axis. That would explain shrinking ice in the northern arctic regions and growing ice to the south. They are trying to forestall the panic that will occur if folks realize that the north pole will eventually point to the sun all the time and bake in intense heat, while the areas south of the equator will freeze solid.

Global climate issues are really about authoritative society and population control through price manipulations of food, energy and medical procedures. Those become the hammers they start banging your toes with if you start straying from the progressive gospel of make believe social systems.
Dwindling resources are a greater concern than speculative global climate problems.
