In the wake of the CNBC debate debacle, Joe Scarborough went on an epic rant on liberal media bias on today's Morning Joe. He summed things up this way, in challenging the panel: "you can't do it and nobody here can do it: name the single Republican that has hosted a Sunday show, that has been an anchor of a news network for the big three networks over the past 50 years: you can not do it."
Mark Halperin largely agreed, saying "there's huge liberal media bias." But Mike Barnicle actually claimed that having fair moderators would be a bad thing for Republicans because they would lose their ability to run against the media.

No surprise here.
Scarborough goes on good anti-MSM rant.
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
Is grass still green?
Mike Barnicle is a complete and utter moron.
Further support for your theory came later, when Barnicle asked Fred Barnes and Mort Kondracke, who were on to promote a book about Jack Kemp, when Kemp would have become a Democrat because he’d be so disgusted with today’s GOP.
Diane Sawyer doesn’t count. She worked for Nixon but was a lib.
“Mike Barnicle”
We can always count on the clown for clown advice.
Given the opportunity, conservatives do not want to run against the media, because we're not Saul Alinsky. We don't go out looking for groups to turn into enemies and demonize.
It is in the nature of conservatism to discuss and debate on the basis of evidence and reason, to conserve that which has been proven desirable on the basis of evidence and reason, and to allow individuals to discover solutions to situations that should not be conserved--for three examples of the latter, using whale oil lamps, putting people in slavery, watching radical Islam permeate the world.
If liberals actually wanted to discuss issues for the purposes of finding solutions when solutions are necessary, conservatives would gladly discuss. But liberals do not want to discuss. They want to demonize and destroy, so that they and they alone can have control over society. Nowhere is this more evident than in the media, where instead of discussion with conservatives, there is demonization and attempted destruction. The difference is that in 2015 there are at least two spokespeople, Trump and Cruz, who have decided to "get wise" to this and respond accordingly.
I wonder where Barnicle copied that line from.
Oh, maybe because most good “republicans” Joe, if you choose to refer to them like that, go to church on Sunday morning.
Or possibly are busy getting ready to spend their day productively like visiting with family or working within their community as a volunteer.
But one thing for sure, we do not spend our week sitting with a Communist next to our right shoulder.
Scarborough is correct, but that is partly the fault of the Republican Party, in general.
The Dem Party has been developing that culture in the media for 50 years or longer. It is similar to the Clinton culture the Clinton Machine has been cultivating since the 1990s. They plan for years, decades in advance, while the Republican Party looks for handouts and hope to find a way for the media to like them.
There is nothing stopping the ‘Republican’ or more specifically the ‘conservative’ culture from building influence in the media via cable/satellite and Internet. They just have not really tried.
"Barnicle Mike, or whatever his name is, did not plagiarize that."
I watched Morning Joe with GLEE.
Shows how little they think of Fox News, then again Chris Wallace is probably a Democrat.
That’s what Breitbart was trying to do before his untimely death. I think Glen Beck is also trying to gain influence with his Blaze TV.
That's why WFB's Firing Line was the best political show on TV. Usually had on a liberal and went one-on-one with no talking over or catcalls. David Susskind had a similar show from the left. It went down hill starting with Phil Donahue and his perpetual snark against everything to the right of him.
I only get to watch the first 12 minutes of Mourning Joe but I am impressed how informative and honest they have been lately. I keep waiting for them to go back to the MSDNC farm, but not yet.
While not an anchor, Tony Snow hosted Fox News Sunday for a number of years.
Part of a John Harwood 'question' to Donald Trump during the CNBC debate.
Great question and totally without any lib bias.... NOT!
