The 2016 GOP presidential campaigns agreed on Sunday evening to cut the Republican National Committee (RNC) out of the debate negotiation process and instead deal directly with networks moderating debates, Breitbart News has learned.
Corey Lewandowski, the campaign manager for frontrunner Donald Trump, confirmed to Breitbart News via phone on Sunday that the âbiggest consensusâ of five separate points the GOP campaigns agreed on was cutting the RNC out of the negotiations with the networks, as the campaigns would each like to negotiate with the networks directly.
In response to the revelation that the RNC will be cut out of the process, RNC chief spokesman Sean Spicerâthe partyâs point man on handling debates until nowâsaid the RNC stands ready to help the candidates in any way they can.

Man this is great if I understand it right.
I hope I am seeing the death of the RNC. Time to take the party back.
Time for a return to a Republic.
Methinks Mr Levin might be getting a phone call tomorrow.

Up go the people
Down goes the establishment
WOO HOO!
Trump is not just talk. He is showing them how it is done.
Was there EVER a doubt?
LOL.
“...stands ready to help the candidates in any way they can.”
Wow, well, that’s a big comfort. Everything should go great then.
The art of the deal by you know who.
What *m finding particularly delightful is that the other candidates are following the leader. That indicates respect and admiration. Trump is truly uniting the motley crew into a dynamic team.
Yet another change of position of Trump, who before has argued for fewer candidates on stage - even during the second debate itself declared Rand Paul didn't belong there because he was "number 11". Although, an understandable strategy at this point as it would limit the amount of time competitors nearer to him could speak and lessen their potential impact.
I saw a first edition copy of The Art of the Deal going for $70,000!
“Now negotiate how much of the money the networks get is proportioned to the various campaigns...”
That would be interesting. The Republican debates make a lot more money than the Democrat debates.
The RNC has previously decreed that any candidate participating in an unsanctioned debate is barred from further sanctioned debates. Could this whole scenario be a trap for conservatives?
Looks like the blue blood country clubbers and their greedy pulled back wives are FIRED.
I think you misread that
Yet another change of position of Trump,
*********
I read it that way at first, also. But actually, if you study the wording, it appears that only Carson is pushing to dilute the debate- and- not to have any questions on his past.
Ooh, I like that. Too bad most other polls won’t show Cruz so strong.
