Washington (AFP) - Jeb Bush appeared destined to waltz to the 2016 Republican nomination, but his presidential bid has been upended to the point that even his cherished family pedigree might not be enough to salvage his flagging campaign.
Charles Foster, a prominent immigration lawyer who raises money for Bush, said the meeting was mischaracterized by some as an emergency session where the clan swooped in to reverse the slide.
"It's a long race and Jeb's campaign is set up to go the distance," he told AFP.

I was going to breeze through this JEB is failing article when I saw Charles Foster, a prominent immigration lawyer who raises money for Bush, said the meeting was mischaracterized by some as an emergency session where the clan swooped in to reverse the slide. I have known him for years and had many heated instances of correspondence with him. Caveat emptor, he is a wolf, a wolf in illegal alien clothing. If Bush has this jerk on his team it is prima fascia and irrefutable evidence that the flood gates of invasion are open. Foster makes no pretense that he is for open borders and instant citizenship for all illegals. He is a dangerous man.

even his cherished family pedigree might not be enough to salvage his flagging campaign. Do ya think they realize that its Jeb's "cherished family pedigree" that is turning most voters off??? If he thinks hauling out "Thousand Points of Light" George Sr. and "Compassionate Conservative" George Jr. is going to save him, he has another thing coming.

Unless and until they replace JEB! with another Bush, the family canoe is doomed.

Rubio’s going to get the shot at the title, and Jeb has a one-way ticket to Palookaville.

I commented last night about how tired I am at this family. I will never forgive the GOPe in their quest to help line their pockets by doing their best to prop up members of the same family every election cycle. They only care about exploiting their connections for their own riches. The founding fathers are rolling in their graves. Forget principle, they want the presidency to stay in a dynasty which is precisely what American was founded on to avoid.

Compassionate conservatism...yeah. Conservatism is compassionate in its own right. W understand that of course. He used the term “compassionate conservatism” to cover up his big government liberalism. It was propaganda designed to make his liberalism sound good.
W’s (mal-)administration presided over some of the largest government expansions in my lifetime, and George Sr. was so moderate/centrist he could have been a Democrat. If Poppy and W think they can salvage Jebbie’s campaign, it’s even more evidence of how out of touch the Bushes are with average Americans.

Maybe they could ask Hillary Rotten Clinton (since they're such good friends with the Clintons) to conduct a seance and conjure up ol' Prescott Bush, I'm sure he's not too busy these days, maybe reminiscing with his ol' buddy 'Dolf?
