Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina says her campaign is in it for the long haul, and as such its not yet the right moment to begin a campaign ad blitz.
There will come a time for ads, but honestly, other candidates have already spent millions on ads and its done nothing for them. So I think the time is not yet, she said Friday in South Carolina, according to the New York Times.
Fiorina, the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, says her focus right now is on earned media, particularly in debates.
Every time I get out on that debate stage, more people say Oh, I didnt know she was running for president. I kind of like her, she said.
Fiorina was considered one of the biggest winners of the last GOP presidential debate Sept. 16.
She surged in the polls at the time, reaching third place with 11.8 percent support according to the RealClearPolitics polling average as of Sept. 24.
But shes tumbled since, sitting in sixth place with 5.8 percent support in the current RCP polling average.

Totally propped up by the media. She’s not spending money on ads because she’s keeping the money in her pocket until she decides to get out.
Sorry Carly, I am not voting for you. Save your money.
I am thankful to her for that and hope the other candidates follow suit. This primary season has seemed interminable for months already and having media become saturated by political advertising while we’re still months away from being able to do anything electorally is a depressing thought.
Fiorina is excellent and should be getting more publicity, but Trump has coopted all the free publicity through his ugly off-message personal attack tweets, which of course is what the journalistic world loves.
An intelligent person rarely wins politically, so in a sense, I’m not that surprised by this. But Trump’s media popularity - because he’s a well-known “celebrity,” like the Kardashians - is blotting out the fact that he’s not a conservative, doesn’t agree with most of the GOP platform, and is basically a populist wild card who will say what he thinks is necessary to get elected...but will do whatever agreement he thinks is necessary to survive and remain popular.
Anybody who votes for Trump is voting for a self-interested moral chameleon.
With Cruz, who’s not my favorite because he’s not a forward thinker but mostly reacts and doesn’t appear to have a very pleasant personality - at least you know what he is. So I’d vote for him. Heck, I’d vote for anybody other than Trump.
I’d like to see Fiorina move forward because I think she’d be an Iron Lady who could take on Hillary. Fiorina doesn’t care about Hillary and Bill. She says what she thinks. But she actually thinks.
Fiorina sings the praises of Islam, Ottoman Empire ‘greatest civilization’
Oh....that face. A puppet of hidden puppet-masters.
I can’t stand ‘that face’!
The Cheap Labor Express has to keep its options open.
¡Yeb! is flailing
Rubberio too
Carly had had her moment
Carson seems to be the latest bid for that amnesty candidate
Only thing that she and I agree on. We’re having elections now in Texas. Ads urging people to vote yes for the HERO prop in Houston are running almost non-stop. Ridiculous. Those urging a no vote are only doing it on the bathroom issue. Wish someone would speak up about the fact that a business will not be able to deny service to anyone for any reason or a lawsuit will follow.
Have already had two clients say they were shutting down their business if it passes.
Oh, please, everybody was doing the routine “praise Islam” speech that time. It was a serious mistake but really, most people hadn’t even had Islam on their radar until the 9/11 attacks, so a lot of the immediate statements were stupid.
Bill and Hillary were already aware of the problems, of course, but they were getting megabucks from the Saudis and had covered up Saudi animosity, so they sure as heck weren’t going to say anything.
Fiorina would have voted for Sotomayor

Sorry Snarly. I had forgotten all about you. I will continue to do that.

Facts don’t matter to this person, so she likes Machine-Gun Carly - ok for her/him, whoever it is. It doesn’t sound like this person has done any homework on Carly’s record of messing up everything she touches. Yet, Trump, who has had great success isn’t worth voting for. Things that make you go - huh?
Carly is not conservative. She has a horrid business history that makes her a dreadful candidate. It was used against
Her in CA when she ran against Boxer and it will be used against her again. Unfortunately, it was not a smear campaign. She really was that awful.
Cruz is a true conservative.
Trump is a populist who could win and would probably be an acceptable alternative for conservatives.
With other better alternatives I, personally, could not go for Carly. The Dems would destroy her—AGAIN!
WOW...
You should back away from your keyboard as fast as you can and never return to it.
“Fiorina is excellent ...”
On what day was she excellent? The days she finally ruined the companies she ran? The day she said she’d have voted for Sotomayor? The day she was praising the Muslim “faith”? The day she lied and said she started her career as a secretary as if she’d come from hard times (her dad was a wealthy lawyer)? On what day was she “excellent”?
WHO?
