For the second consecutive day, Ben Carson has emerged on top of the Republican field in Iowa, knocking off Donald Trump, who the top choice when voters are asked which candidate theyd like to see drop out of the race.
The Bloomberg Politics/Des Moines Register poll has Carson receiving support from 28 percent of likely Republican Caucus participants, nine points ahead of Trump.
Its a significant shift from the last Bloomberg poll conducted in August. Since then, Carson has risen 10 points and Trump has dro0pped four.

Huckabee won Iowa, and then???
I guess the meth made it into the water supply.
Damned EPA.
:-)
FACTOID: in 2008, the Register endorsed Hillary
in the Democratic caucuses.
Can't wait for the next campaign rally.
Bloomberg Politics/Des Moines Register Enough Said!
Iowa is a pretty state and there are some real salt of the earth people there but as far as the electorate goes it’s not Red and Blue. It’s more Cobalt and Purple.
Silly Iowans. The leftists seems to have influenced their choice. Everything anti-Trump will be coming from the Left in the days to come...a lot of molehills are going to be changed to mountains in due course...
This is why our presidential selection process is so FUBAR.
Iowa and Red Hampshire.
For better or worse - these two insignificant states have a major influence on who will be the prez in January of 2017.
All the polls and debates leading up to Iowa and Red Hampshire, and all the primaries AFTER are all tied to these two states.
It sucks, but it is what it is.

Won't work.
The problem with being polarizing within your own party, is that you end up alienating the other pole. That’s why traditionally, the most boring candidate wins the nomination, because he hasn’t alienated anyone so the party coalesces around him.
If Trump wins the GOP nomination we can expect him to take about 25% of the vote in the general election. The rest will be split between Hillary and a third party candidate.
Of course if Trump does NOT win the GOP nomination, I would expect HIS supporters to abandon the GOP as well and vote for a third party candidate probably Trump himself.
Either way, Hillary Clinton wins the White House.
He’s not being “used” by the establishment. He’s running for president and some people like him.
I watched one the other day. It made me think of the old school, ante bellum campaigns where it was more of a community meeting, where the candidate told stories, entertained his listeners, and turned them from interested listeners into friends and followers.
This man does understand media as much as Ronald Reagan did. The man is different, the times and the voters have changed, but Trump is every bit as effective a communicator.
The RNC said they were going to fix the primary process so that Iowa and New Hampshire were’t going to be king makers. I think that was 2008 or 2012. Still waiting.
Des Moines Register has led a campaign against D. Trump, has all along been biased against him
There has to be agreement on the alternative. Mexican standoff.
Right...LOL....the GOPee want’s Carson to take Iowa and they have put a lot of money in there to do just that...they are using Carson just the same as they used the rest of them to go up against Trump and it won’t work, it hasn’t worked and it will not work....
They can spend all their money to beat Trump, but Trump has friends with more money than the GOPee could ever wish for...and Trump didn’t get to where he is by not being aware of what is going on....
If Carson thinks he’s something special, he is, he just got used as another GOPee puppet!!!!
