Donald Trump leads the field competing for the Republican presidential nomination in Ohio, but would get defeated in a head-to-head race with Democrat Hillary Clinton if that election were held now, according to a political opinion survey by Bowling Green State University released Tuesday.
The first BGSU Poll had the real estate billionaire leading 14 other Republicans with 26.9 percent of the vote among likely Ohio voters. ...
Zogby Analytics interviewed 804 likely voters by email. Of those, 38 percent identified as Democrats, 31 percent as Republicans, and 31 percent as independents. The margin of error was 3.5 percent. The survey was done last Thursday through Saturday. ...
For the Republican nomination, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson came in second after Mr. Trump with 21.8 percent. Next in line was Ohio Gov. John Kasich with 12.5 percent. After Mr. Kasich in the BGSU Poll was former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and former corporate executive Carly Fiorina tied at 5.6 percent.
The poll cost $9,500, according to Jennifer Sobolewski, communications manager. She said the universitys interest in the poll is to raise BGSUs visibility.

Will Kasich, an establishment splitter for Jeb, actually cause Jeb more harm than good if he is polling more than twice what Jeb is in the Buckeye state?
Kasich’s sole role was to peel away votes from a movement candidate in order to lower the plurality percentage of victory for Jeb (and securing his role as Jeb’s Veep). He can’t do that if he is burying Jeb.
All Trump needs to do is campaign up and down Interstate 75 from the Mill Creek industrial section in Cincinnati to the Chrysler factory on the Michigan border and every factory/union town in between and hammer his message of border security and jobs through fair trade and lowering corporate tax.
His message is tailor made for Ohio. Have Butler County Sheriff Jones join him. He has gone hard after the illegals in Southwest Ohio and the libs hate him. Too bad he has decided not to run for Boehnor’s seat.
Trump-Carson dominating the vote is a result of how thoroughly FED UP real OH Republicans are. The Republican Party and the judges are owned by the folks behind the useless construction projects and giveaways that always benefit their buddies, and very often make our lives miserable.
In glancing down the list of artivles I read that as BOGUS Poll.
Americans won’t elect that cackling psycho Hillary but, barring Divine intervention, she will be the next President. She will certainly be the Democrat candidate. She will not be indicted or harmed by the Congressional hearings even if they produce a dozen smoking guns proving a dozen separate major felonies. Hussein has signaled the DoJ not to make any charges.
The blue haired Q-tips think they are talking about Ben Gazzara.
Sadly...it will have no impact on the election.
The welfare warriors only care about the free stuff and by 2016 that is all they will be voting for.
So...who do we have in the bullpen for 2020?
Yeah, I kinda get that feeling. Unfortunately, there really is no place to go.
Above the Arctic Circle is looking pretty inviting.
The less people the better.
Go ahead and hire your agent: you will be leaving then on January 20, 2017. The American people are tickled pink about having a “woman” president.
I applaud the university's directness about cost and motive.
She is not frightening to the bulk of “Americans”: indeed a godsend.
We will see, time will tell.
I think that it is safe to say if Americans actually elect that creature, then Americans are lost, finished, done.
