Election '16: Donald Trump charges that President George W. Bush "knew in advance" of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. Promoting the Obama birther conspiracy was bad enough, but this is beyond the pale.

Trump told CNN on Tuesday, "George Tenet, the CIA Director, knew in advance that there would be an attack, and he said so to the president."

Yesterday Rush talked about this and the book Trump wrote months before 9/11 where he discussed the threat from OBL and radical Islam. He was attacking Clinton and the entire DC establishment for ignoring these threats.
Donald Trump repeated previously published accounts from the 911 Commission that CIA Director George Tenet had the information that an attack was planned and had briefed GW Bush, but both discounted the information and chose not to act.
There was no conspiracy in what he said. It’s all on the record.
As for his comments on Obama’s birth certificate, the evidence is overwhelming that it is a forgery but has never been judged in court for lack of standing on the part of plaintiffs. Donald is no longer addressing the forgery because it is not a priority of his current campaign.
Whoever wrote this drivel is trying to stir up dirt where none exists except in their own minds. Garbage has been created over ‘conspiracy’ nonsense on the part of whoever vomited this report.

Why does Trump play the conspiracy crank 9/11 card? He does it because he’s not a sincere conservative. He’s not interested in the truth. He’s going to destroy conservatism and help Hillary.
IBD is published as a medium for investment information, and apparently reflects the breakdown in a sense of being part of American communities in a business community, that more and more seeks goals that are in a narrow view of self-interest, but are inimical to long term American values.
I watch CNBC for a couple of hours every day; but have to cringe for the many expressions of imagined self-interest, that ignore our common American interests. It reflects the false focus of the mass media, who were taught anti-patriotic sophistication, in College.

Trump did not state that Bush or the CIA Director had direct information about the attack on 09/11.
He did way they were being warned of a vague attack.

Yes, the Bush administration was aware an attack was coming. They were warned many times in advance. It’s simply a fact.

Please cite exactly what Trump said claiming 9-11 was a conspiracy and where he said it. That charge seems like a “crank card” to me.
