VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - The Vatican denied on Wednesday an Italian media report that Pope Francis has a benign brain tumor.
"The circulation of entirely unfounded news regarding the health of the Holy Father by an Italian newspaper is gravely irresponsible and unworthy of attention," chief Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi said in a statement.
"Furthermore, as is clearly evident, the pope is carrying out his very intense activity in a totally normal way," he said.

As was noted on another thread, this denial did not actually deny. God’s will be done.
Oh my, I didn’t realize there was another thread about this. I searched different ways for the story.
Explains much.
excuses, excuses
Well, he acts like a person with a brain tumor. God’s will be done.
Would you please pull this thread if it’s a duplicate? Also please direct where the other thread is, thank you.
Yes— I will pray for him ..
It certainly might explain his erratic behavior and ststements. Wouldn’t wish this on anyone. He should step down and be replaced with another John Paul.
Bring back Benedict XVI.
Amen
That is not a denial.
“I can bring you down with just six words.” The Dr.
This demented pope has a tumor?
Sure...
“May God forbid this is true.”
Sorry, can’t join you in this prayer. The best I can do is to pray, “God’s will be done.”

Bill Nye will be the next pope
It would certainly explain part of his weird behavior and strange utterances, and also his rages (not often reported).
I read in the foreign press that it’s not clear if it’s surgically treatable, but in any case they plan to use non-surgical means at the moment.
I had a friend who recently died of a brain tumor. They operated and removed part of it, but I guess there are limits to how much they can remove from such a delicate area. She was then treated chemically but this was only temporarily effective, and she died about a year and a half after being diagnosed.
I honestly do think more information should be provided to the public on this matter, because the possibility of a brain tumor affecting the Pope’s thoughts and actions is certainly very worrisome.
He will be replaced with Petrus Romanus.
It is worrisome. I personally find the denial of his spokesman convincing I’m not sure why others don’t, but will keep him in prayer regardless. I will also pray for your friend sorry to hear that sad news.
