Developing - Jim Webb may announce he is running as an independent WMAL
The story was broadcast on radio station WMAL (in the Wash DC area).

Knew it back in 2006. Funny thing is, he wasn’t even supposed to win. He was just supposed to seriously soften up then-Sen. George Allen, who was a presumptive front-runner for President in 2008 (for Conservatives). I think they were utterly shocked when he lost after running an awful campaign, nevermind the rest of us.
What’s funny is that I believe Webb thought he would lose to Allen in a rematch in 2012, why he quit after a term. Turned out Allen never learned from 2006 and ran a second lousy losing race against the moonbat Kaine.
He’ll siphon off his 6 votes.
I feel the same way. I had some e-mail correspondence with him over his book `Fields of Fire’.
He’s a stand up guy, whether you like his politics or not.
We may have some ideological differences but he was all right by me.
So yeah, not at all sure he’ll get my vote but Yeb sure as hell won’t.

If he runs as an Independent, he will have the Debate Stage all to himself.
Why is he even running in the first place? I figured he said to himself if Chafee (Mr. Metric), Clinton (Too much to list), Sanders (The honest Commie Democrat) and O’Malley (Dumb as a stump) can do it, so can I! After all, only one of them besides me killed anybody.
It obviously doesn’t take any Brains and you can even be a Lying POS and still be the Heir Apparent to Lord Obama.
WOW, I can see folks reaching for their wallets now.....or not.
That party left a LOT of people.
Problem is, most of those folks don’t know it.
Jim Webb was the poster child for Reagan Democrats.
He comes from poor Appalachian Scotch-Irish stock and they have been ignored as poverty and affirmative action programs sidelined them. This population and Webb want govt poverty help for poor people but not based much on race. Webb's pet issue issue has always been how the native Scotch-Irish are always marginalized.
Reagan Democrats were for Reagan for military and nationalist reasons and the promise of good private sector jobs that the Reagan economic policies would create. But if they have no private sector jobs they are OK with govt jobs and resent such jobs going to minorities above their percentage of the population.
That is my analysis. I am not a Webb supporter just stating his general outline.
