During an appearance on CNN’s Reliable Sources Sunday, veteran journalist Carl Bernstein trashed the Benghazi committee ahead of Hillary Clinton’s testimony and insisted the Democrat will “murder them because it has been a witch hunt. It has been partisan. It's great opportunity for her.”
Bernstein also praised Clinton’s debate performance as “her greatest moment in this campaign which has been a disaster for her up until the debate” but ultimately admitted “I don't think that a reset button was successfully hit. We're still back to these basic questions about her truthfulness about the server, the foundation, about the FBI investigation.”

The committee is a dumb idea. Isn’t it better to just beat her up on cable nets and with ads?
This is just Hillary softening up the beachhead with spin.
Having to appear before a Congressional committee investigating possible, even probable, espionage and treason is shameful for a presidential candidate.
So, being a Clinton, she uses the Sunday before it to declare it a joyful opportunity and simultaneously slander the investigation.
There’s really nothing else going on here. It’s a totally predictable chess move.

Woodward and Bernstein were stenographers. They were played by Mark Felt (Deep Throat), who was hacked off a Nixon for not giving him the head of the FBI after J. Edgar Hoover died. Slimy and overrated.
Remember, Bernsteins head was on the chopping block at the time he started the coverage on Watergate.

Bernstein is concerned with the “truthiness” of whatever testimony that Herself, Madame Benghazi, the Cold & Joyless, shall give to the committee.
“Evasive” probably is a good synonym for “truthiness”.
Herself is a practiced and well-experienced expert in the arts of deflection and obfuscation.
Probably been honing the skills since about the time Herself was in high school. And a “Goldwater Girl”.
For despising Richard Nixon so thoroughly, Herself certainly tries to emulate whatever standard Herself believes Nixon was applying. And since Herself is so very smart, just might pull it off, where Nixon could not.

My bet: We won't hear that much about servers and email. Gowdy has plenty of material to work with starting with that “video” that Clinton and Obama dreamed up as the cause of the attack. I would dig, dig, dig and dig into that one.
The Dems, predictably, will lecture us about “Witch Hunt” oblivious as usual to the obvious comparison between the witness and the Wizard of Oz villain.
