We’re told that refugee resettlement is about the preservation of human dignity. But those advocating for it don’t always act in a dignified manner.
The resettlement of Somali refugees to central Minnesota has been the subject of heated debate. Some argue that refusing refugees would not be neighborly. Then comes this, from Alpha News:
Governor Mark Dayton attended a community conversation about race hosted by the St. Cloud NAACP and told people who have been questioning refugee resettlement in the central Minnesota region to find another state.
WJON reports the Governors statements, This is a time for everybody who is a Minnesotan, a real Minnesotan to take a stand and say, not in our state. If you are that intolerant, that much of a racist and a bigot, then find another state, they really should go somewhere else said Dayton.
If you don’t think refugees should come, you can go. That’s the “tolerant” message from Minnesota’s Democrat governor.
He makes questioning what he does as government policy, “racist”. Specious.
They are not the ones who’s children will be robbed at gunpoint at the convenience store. That’s why they enjoy the glow of their compassion.
[ His state??????? ]
Didn’t the people elect him.....
Walk proudly down your streets with Jesus pictures in your windows and T-shirts and see if they go Sharia on you.
If so, complain and be loud about removing them all to DC.
“So, where did you and your parents move to?”
Parents moved to Greenville SC and I moved everyplace... Was in the military. Currently in MD
Al Franken “won” by vote fraud only. The elections are pretty well “fixed” by the “anointed” who “count” the votes, as Stalin so noted.
Don’t think he was a Navy Seal,a Navy Diver yes and another lying POS like Blumenthal of CT
Is Dayton really so stupid that he thinks the state should drive out the working, tax-paying residents in favor of adding folks to the welfare rolls?
The crack-pot apparently has imperial delusions. No Governor has the right to tell the citizens of his State that they must leave their homeland.
I lived in that s$$$hole state for ten years, left four years ago when Mark Dayton was in his first year as governor. Ten years near Saint Pustule and Minnecraponus.
I visit there sometimes. My sister moved there with her husband in the 80s. She wants to leave but has a house and very good job so it is complicated.
Sis, her boyfriend and a huge horde of our second cousins are all conservatives. Everyone has issues with the muzzies they are sometimes required to supervise.
That is probably the best advice he has given in his life. Those that heed id will probably save their lives. Those who ignore it will probably learn a life lesson the hard way.
Yes, I’m tired of the holier than thou guilt trips when it’s nothing but payoffs, bribes and gladhanding....
The Guv probably figures that the working, tax paying residents leaving the state ar mostly Republican voters while the refugees will become Democrat voters in short order.
But the damndest thing. None of this resettlement every happens in Liberal neighborhoods. It never happens in the WHITE, LIBERAL, PROGRESSIVE, HIPSTER neighborhoods. The places that idiots like Dayton get all their support. Start plopping some of those refugees in the cool, white, hipster neighborhoods and see how fast that program ends. And when the White Liberals move on to another black neighborhood to regentrify, move some more refugees with them. Let them live with the consequences of their caring and compassion.
Apparently, something very similar to this is happening right now in Brooklyn, NY. The white liberals lived in their own little bubble. But, now that bubble is being asked to accept people that aren’t like them and they’re not happy.
Hennepin County sees rise in violent crime
Sep 4, 2015
Violent crime, led by homicides, is rising in Hennepin County, according to statistics released Friday by the sheriff’s office.
The county saw 26 homicides in the first six months of 2015, a 37 percent increase over the first part of last year. A total of 2,626 violent crimes were reported, which is an 8 percent jump from the same time in 2014. The majority of homicides happened in Minneapolis with 23 of the 26 reported there, according to the data.
Violent crime is defined as murder, manslaughter, rape, robbery and aggravated assault.
A total of 306 rape cases were reported in the first half of 2015, a 15 percent increase over last year. Aggravated assault made up 1,299, which is also a 15 percent jump.
It’s always the money all the way down to counties getting funding for the number of prisoners in their jails, people on welfare, kids in schools, whatever.
My brother loved Minnesota, but he loves to fish. Every state in this nation SHOULD be a great place to live. Unfortunately...
“You are therefore to keep all My statutes and all My ordinances and do them, so that the land to which I am bringing you to live will not spew you out.”
Leviticus 20:22 (chapters 18-20 are apropos)
This land is heaving with nausea.
