We’re told that refugee resettlement is about the preservation of human dignity. But those advocating for it don’t always act in a dignified manner.
The resettlement of Somali refugees to central Minnesota has been the subject of heated debate. Some argue that refusing refugees would not be neighborly. Then comes this, from Alpha News:
Governor Mark Dayton attended a community conversation about race hosted by the St. Cloud NAACP and told people who have been questioning refugee resettlement in the central Minnesota region to find another state.
WJON reports the Governors statements, This is a time for everybody who is a Minnesotan, a real Minnesotan to take a stand and say, not in our state. If you are that intolerant, that much of a racist and a bigot, then find another state, they really should go somewhere else said Dayton.
If you don’t think refugees should come, you can go. That’s the “tolerant” message from Minnesota’s Democrat governor.
You agree to take them in then you keep them. Nobody else wants the problems you put upon yourself and your state.
Better start updating the resume Governor, you forget you work for the citizens of Minnesota, they don’t work for you...
As if I needed a reason to not move to Minnesota.
Stop the madness. Elect Trump.
Well , Dayton is parroting the liberal line. We are supposed to be liberal and favor amnesty for illegal aliens and accept any number of refugees from any part of the world. If we don’t accept these ideas, then we are bigots and racists.
Anyone else notice how intolerant liberals are? They can’t tolerate a discussion of a refugee resettlement policy or discuss how it will affect their state. Instead, their own governor shuts down any debate by calking then racist and telling them they should leave the state.
Anyone else think this is an extremely intolerant attitude from a member of the political party which prides itself on openness and tolerance ????
His state???????
How many days till this Sphincter is looking for a new job?
RE: you forget you work for the citizens of Minnesota, they dont work for you..
The only fly in the ointment is this — Maybe, just maybe, most Minnesotans agree with him...
After all, this is the same states that RE-ELECTED Al Franken last year.... the year of the huge Republican landslide.
I was born here. I was raised here. I even left here and only came back because of family concerns.
F*ck you Dayton. Take your “refugees” and YOU leave.
But of course because third world illiterate ‘refugees’ who want sharia are so much better than hard working US citizens.
I hope they leave in droves then the idiots will look just like Detroit
Why do you say that? This is the same state that elected Al Franken....Twice.
I think he’s right. Let the liberals that stay realize the errors of their ways.
How about you leave the state, Goobernor?
As if he owned the place...
The phrase “Get a rope” comes to mind. Tar and feathers would also be appropriate.
“I was born here. I was raised here. I even left here and only came back because of family concerns.”
I was born there, raised there, and left there, NEVER to go back. What an embarrassment MN now is.
How many resettled into your neighborhood Governor?
The scumbag who sued Chris Kyle's widow.
Spit.
We don't plan to let the door hit us where the good Lord split us!
Buh-Bye, Governor Goofy.
