I tried my best to get into liking this, as I was a big Muppet fan as a kid. I even though the more adult-directed humor would make it fun as an adult. Unfortunately the plot lines were dull and boring.
It won’t last to November.

I wanted to watch the muppets, but the networks took something that should have been fun and turned it into liberal propaganda.

The Muppets were, in the day ... a funny bit and entertainment .... GREAT corny lines said by all
And NO ONE can cook like a Swedish Chef ... um MORK MORK !
I haven't been interested in them for a long time, heard they were coming out with no love connection between Miss Piggy and Kermit, saw a short clip of a late night interview with the pig and frog and it was dead ...
Now THIS piece of news
There is nothing much left to point a child to that says, "This IS America" .... only ....
This WAS America

Jim Henson has to be rolling over in his grave over this monstrosity.

Disney did the impossible: destroyed the Muppets. Disney is America's Ministry of (left wing) Culture.

It’s “The Larry Sanders Show” from HBO with puppets and without the humor.

True story. A company for whom I used to work in Japan was rivals to Disney. When Jim Henson passed, I proposed that we contact his widow and make a pitch for the Muppets. My bosses wanted the property, but felt my timing would be considered tacky.
Disney swept them up not long afterward. We probably couldn't have gotten them anyway because Disney would've outbid us. But I've often wondered what might have been.

Too bad. As an adult, I really enjoyed the Muppets during the 1970’s. Their entirely nonpolitical humor really was G rated in that it genuinely appealed to the sense of humor of all age groups. The space ship Swinetrek scenes were side splitters, especially for those of us who were raised in the 1950’s on shows like Flash Gordon and Captain Video. The satire, aimed at Dr. Zarkof of Flash Gordon, in the form of Dr. Strange Pork (double satire for Dr. Strangelove) was a scream. All of that was real art from a genuine genius, the late Jim Henson.

I watched five minutes of the first show and that was four minutes fifty nine seconds to long! I knew the minute Disney had anything to do with it it would be a POS!
