PBS just lost the Muppets of sesame street to HBO. (the same muppets who could not survive unless they were on PBS)

It was pneumonia

More specifically, it was streptococcal toxic shock syndrome. I think it is highly unlikely that a man such as Jim Henson, with a wife and five children, would have been a homosexual.......

Wasn't Robert Reed from The Brady Bunch married with children? Not saying it's common, but it happens.

Went to the Movie this weekend to see Sicario. It was good, I liked it at least.

3 previews.

#1. Lesbian marriage movie with Julianne Moore
#2. Movie about blacklisted commie fag that wrote Sparticus
#3. Some liberal political thing with Sandra Bullock

My wife turned to me and said “who do they think is going to watch any of that?”

Even in the 1970’s there was that grumpy bald eagle character who constantly harrumphed against everything modern.

The lefty politics were there but muted.

No, no! It’s the Kirward Derby! Whoever puts it on becomes the smartest person in the world!

Will it be Fearless Leader or Boris Badenov?

“What does eet matter!!? We are both bad guys!!!”

I don't believe they have, officially.

He's still there. He currently harrumphs against anybody using foul language or doing anything morally questionable on the air.

Do you remember the Gary Moore show in which they spoofed Ben Hur?

Durward Kirby was portrayed as BEN HIM! When he turned around you could see the embarrassment on his face and the audience loved it!

Agreed, good, just good. And let that be a lesson to them, but they wont’ get it.

You’re right of course, which is why I stopped buying Disney products years ago.

You know sometimes people, even healthy people, do die of pneumonia. It doesn’t mean they are homosexuals, or drug addicts, or died of an abortion. It’s sometimes called galloping pneumonia and it can just overwhelm a person in short order.

I guess Kirby was a little thin-skinned and didn’t like being made fun of....and he was supposedly a comedian. I’ve read where he tried to sue the producers of Rocky and Bullwinkle, but lost.

Oh; Disney's "ABC NOT Family" friendly channel's perverted "Slutty Puppets"tm isn't doing so hot in the ratings: Too bad, so sad; That's what they get for single-handedly destroying an American institution.

Nearly everything Disney now touches turns to pure, unadulterated dung. The Muppets; aka the "Slutty Puppets"tm is the latest in a long list of intellectual "entertainment properties" the perverse people running Disney have snapped up and ruined.

Poor Walt Disney; he would be utterly disgusted and ashamed to see what the institution he created has become. I dare say, if he were alive he would fire a massive amount of people running/ruining Disney.

Rocky and Bullwinkle used to have all kinds of adult humor in the 60s... many puns such as “Kerwood Derby”, etc...

I always got a kick out of the German scientist "Werner von Beige".

Is that accusation fair to the Henson family?.....

Durward Kirby was also satirized in MAD Magazine. Endora in Bewitched always referred to Samantha’s husband Daryl as Durwood.

Looked at the Wiki entry; he is described as mild natured, the perfect TV sidekick.

At the time I only watched the Bullwinkle show; I thought Boris Badenov always had the best lines and so did the Wicked Witch of the West, she was ten times smarter than the feeble foursome & how they won out was well, by pure accident.

Hey, WWOW built that castle, staffed it, maintained her flying skills & terrorized an entire city.

Moose and Squirrel was one of my favorite cartoons, but I admit to being a little too young at the time to get all the adult references. My parents fortunately liked it as well and would fill me and siblings in on the adult allusions. Dudley Do-right was actually my favorite cartoon.

Margaret Hamilton was severely burned during the scene where she disappeared in Munchkin land. BTW, TWOO is my all time favorite movie. And no, I am not a Friend of Dorothy.
