Chrissie tried the same thing after Rush Limbaugh adopted “Back to Ohio” as his theme song (without the lyrics). Rush graciously removed the song. Turns out Chrissie’s parents were Dittoheads and the feud ended, the song reappeared on Rush’s show.

It goes back to 1973...that's 42 years.

....and it looks like hundreds have used the song.

Steve Tyler is very liberal.

Joe Perry is conservative.

sorry, Aerosmith, unless you own the music, your opinion is ......just an opinion.

I’d wager that Trump’s campaign paid the royalty to the music publisher.....

More like an issue of “cash” from what I’ve read, and it’s not surprising.

Well of course... however when one licenses through an outfit like ASCAP or BMI or SESAC then one has to agree to certain stipulations about how these outfits do it. They can’t be being jerked around by either artists or customers.

If the copyright owner has agreed that ASCAP may license it, and ASCAP then licenses it to Trump under nondiscriminatory terms, then the copyright owner can bay at the moon. He has no legal legs.

He was on that Sons of Guns Show buying some illicit Firearms a few years ago as I recall.

That was before the Star of the show got himself in some deep doo doo, and it had nothing to do with Guns.

Tyler is a registered Republican and was in attendance at the first GOP debate. I believe he and Trump are also on friendly terms.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out but I wonder if his bandmates are pressuring him to do this.

I assume that the writer of the song PROBABLY still owns the copyright to same??

Talk to Paul Mccartney how that all works out.

He has to get permission from the owner of the sound recording AND the owner of the composition.

And as such I’d be very surprised if Trump doesn’t have permission somewhere to use that music.

I hope Trump pulls the song immediately. That way, when Trump wins the nomination, and later the White House, Tyler will be able to see how irrelevant he is.

Yes, and you - and the others infected with TDS - never miss an opportunity to bash Trump, no matter how petty the excuse. Give it up already. Your man is so far down in the polls that he has become an insignificant footnote, as in “also ran.” Laughing at you ant the TDS crowd.
