Newt Gingrich: Paul Ryan ‘Should Be Very Cautious’ About Becoming Speaker
The Daily Caller ^ | 10/11/2015 | Derek Draplin

Newt Gingrich issued a warning to Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) Sunday morning, saying that he “should be very cautious” when considering running for speaker of the House.

Asked by Fox’s Chris Wallace if he thinks Ryan should take the job, Gingrich was hesitant to push the Wisconsin congressman towards what many describe as a “thankless” position. (RELATED: Freedom Caucus Would ‘Look Favorably’ On Paul Ryan As Speaker)

“I think Paul should be very cautious,” Gingrich told Wallace. “He is the most prestigious member of the House on the Republican side. He has the best future, he’s still very young.”

“It’s easy to get 218 on the first vote, and then you get to keeping the government open through a continuing resolution, and then you get to the debt ceiling, and if you’re not careful, by Christmas you resemble John Boehner,” he continued. “Because these things are hard.”

“I have suggested that they actually go slower and actually have some day-long conferences and listen to each other,” Gingrich said. “All 247 members won an election. All of them deserve to be heard.”

But Gingrich questioned how House Republicans could find common ground to pass legislation.

“When it’s done, how do you form a continuing ability to get 218 votes in the House so that you can in fact pass legislation that has to be passed?”

No, Newtster.

We should be cautions.

IN fact, we should flat out reject this liberal, open boarders, give away America Repubic loser.

If he has a future, we don’t.

America does not need people like Paul Ryan. Or you.

I was going to say the same thing.

Newt makes it about what is good for Ryan instead of what is good for the country.

His misdirected concern is inappropriate.

Cautious yes and not distracted by the fray is important as well.

I thought Ryan didn't want to be speaker. That I thought suggested some intelligence.

There is a lot of weirdness going on. I'm beginning to wonder how many factions are in the house Republican majority. Smells like a pointless power struggle.

In the meantime let us not be distracted and continue on to the next target Senator Mitch McConnell. Got to finish cleaning house before we can mop up the dirt in the election.

Ryan sold out years ago. He has no future. He may hang on in the House for years, but he will always be one of those whose careers ended with Boner’s.

Ryan is a Cheap Labor Express lackey. Not very prestigious if you ask me.
He is young, but has no future unless he and his cronies succeed in stealing the country from the citizens.

I really do not think that anyone in the GOP has America’s best interests at heart any more.

The GOP is a party of ticks, feeding off her blood and injecting her with disease as thanks.

Ryan is a one of the Conductors of the Cheap Labor Express.

He might even be the Engineer or Amnesty on the Republican side.

I want Either Newt or Tom Delay. These two guys can stand up to Obama.

Ryan is a Frat Boy.
