Yes, he was for him until he was sort of not for him. This is typical Trump trying to figure out how a conservative would answer as a situation comes up. That happens when you have no definite conservative principles in your life. I would bet he has a sheet to look at so he will know what he is supposed to be for and against every day. I am not a Trump hater, but I don’t see conservative principles in his life before he became a candidate.

Apparently you did not hear how Ted Cruz answered the question of who should be the next Speaker ...

In his friendly interview by Rita Cosby she tried to get him to take a position. He said:
  1. Kevin McCarthy "is a good man."
  2. "I don't know" if it was a good idea for Kevin McCarthy to drop out of the running for Speaker of the House.
  3. When asked if he thought there was someone better, he declined to comment or offer a suggestion.
  4. He again was asked to proffer any alternative to Boehner or McCarthy and he declined again to offer anyone; typical politician.

I took what Trump said yesterday as tepid, if not begrudging ‘support’ of the idea of Ryan. This isn’t really much of a change.

I think Cruz who think we are suckers .

Ted Cruz teamed up with Paul Ryan to Ram Thru
TPP fast track and Treason treaty which has Amnesty and Massive H1 Visa Invasion!l

Cruz gave our Enemy Barry the Soros puppet unlimited power and help create a Treaty that kills our Constitution

Trump opposes both !
So who is more conservative again ?

So who is more Conservative!
Cruz wants a 300 % increase in H 1 visas for his Billionaire donors !
Trump opposes that !
Who is more conservative again ?

Cruz Voted Yes on the Disaster Senator Corker Deal that gave Iran Billions and The Nuclear Bomb!

Trump opposed !
Who is more Conservative again ?.
Trump is all cases !

But please feel free to explain Ted Cruz betrayal !

You have said it well. I am not sold on Trump being a conservative at all.

You and a some others beat anything I’ve seen as a Conservative.

Some of us have spent 40 years wishing a guy would come along and listen. Trump comes along, gets it wrong and corrects himself in 24 hours, and people belch and moan about it.

What the heck is up with that?

He is obviously connected to someone who gets it exactly right. He changes his tone to reflect the more sound policy and people get upset.

Trump is to me the answer to prayer for 40 years.

Reagan got many things right. I give kudos to the guy. None the less, there’s nothing wrong with a guy going with his gut, then listening and admitting his first impression was off.

For a guy that is trashed regularly as a person who always gets this way until now, this guy listens to others and accepts their criticism.

Amazing...

At least Trump is learning...

What we believe...

I don’t know the depth of his “belief”...

or if he would ...

Go Cruz.

I worry about Trump too, although I’m still voting for him, just because of the message it sends Rove and the other big money people - and I still can’t see him being any worse than the others, with the possible exception of Cruz - although Cruz still hasn’t got traction.

I agree that Trump is not a conservative, never has been, never will be. But his weakness here is that he tends to to believe the media spin on current events and then someone, somewhere corrects him. This flip is no different than when Trump was buying the crap about the Syrian ‘refugees’...he first went with the media and believed they were mostly women, children, and the elderly - then he got corrected. Here, the only thing he heard about Ryan was that he was a tough budget person back when Romney chose him - he wasn’t up to speed regarding his 2013 Amnesty push (and to be honest neither was I...until about 5 minutes on this site). What Trump needs to do is simply defer a question he hasn’t studied-up on until he’s briefed by whoever is briefing him...not just give us the answer that the media is brainwashing the public with.

I wonder how many times during this campaign Trump will pull these quick flip-flops before his supporters get clued in to what is happening.

He lets his true opinion slip out, and then his advisors tell him, hey, remember you’re playing to Tea Party types-—and the next day his supporters are sighing with relief that he has suddenly seen the light.

Seriously?
