Ben Carson and Donald Trump are tied among GOP voters in Pennsylvania, a new poll finds.

Carson and Trump each receive 18 percent support from registered Republicans in the Keystone State, according to the Mercyhurst University Center for Applied Politics poll on Monday.

Former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-Fla.) trails them with 9 percent. Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina next grabs 8 percent support among registered Pennsylvania Republicans.

Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) and Sens. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Ted Cruz (R-Texas) are in a struggle for fifth place with 4 percent apiece.

Now you’re just babbling incoherently.

Ben Carson has arguably been immersed in a cult twice. A circus is just entertainment.

Whoa! I'm offended! Oops! I'm not a Carson fan. I'm for Cruz. The fact that a billionaire celebrity has a huge fan following has zero effect on me. I remember when Perot gave us Clinton (maybe twice). Trump is Perot deaux.

As opposed to babbling coherently?

Oh, so you think the solution to the foreign invasion/loss of sovereignty on the wide open border is soccer balls and teddy bears.

Figures.

Actually you’re frantically trying to cover up the fact that despite your wholesale ignorance of the subject, you’ve set yourself up as a psychological analyst. It’s pathetic.

I haven't seen numbers like that since the conjoined twin demographic for Carson back in the 2016 run up to the primaries...

LMBO

I'll be using that one for the rest of my life... howlingly funny!

Perhaps inclusion of the indys would give a more broad view, but at a time when even the Republican votes themselves are very fluid, I'm not sure it's value would be as indicative of future support as we might hope for.

We see eye to eye on those thoughts.

There will be times when I’ll be very happy with Trump.

There are going to be times when I won’t.

I remember back to both Bushes. Same thing.

I look at the rest of the candidates now, same thing and worse than same thing...

Cruz is the one guy I had high hopes for, but he’s not blazing any trails.

Oh well...

Actually I'm trying to scrape you off the bottom of my shoe, but it doesn't seem to be working.

“(Cruz) is a consistent conservative.”

You mean the Ted Cruz who voted for TPA cloture the first time that made its passage possible; the Ted Cruz who voted for the Corker bill that made it possible for Iran to develop atomic weapons; the Ted Cruz who tried to get a fivefold increase in H-1B visas? And now the Ted Cruz who consistently and passionately campaigns against all three?

He said it way better! I missed that.

It's all pretty fluid. I wouldn't take any poll as an indication of anything other than current support. What we do know is there's interest in Trump across the political gamut. None of the other candidates have that kind of significant appeal.

Carson has no money and no big donor support other than as a pac funded spoiler for other candidates.

Carson is a sacrificial anode.

His simulated epiphany on the second amend is as real as Hillary.

It's October 2015. Fight for your guy until the fight is done. The polls are not indicating a done deal yet. I will not vote for Fiorina or Carson even though they appear to be in contention. There is a long way to go. Right now Trump is getting the press and not having to spend his money, Cruz is a fiscal conservative and will keep his money in abeyance. When push comes to shove Cruz will spend his money wisely, while Trump will spend his miserly.

I have notice most of these polls are “cooked” by the pool questioned.

ie only city dwellers, eligible voters (vs registered or likely), widely small numbers. There is also the fact there is no way to call cell phones. (see land line free)

I think Cruz is a candidate that has to grow on voters. Which, given his level of support, makes me Captain Obvious.

Cruz is brilliant. I could listen to his speeches for hours. He's talking above the level that most voters can comprehend.

I've said this before...he's a better candidate than many deserve.

So in addition to being psychologically illiterate you’re a boor. What a way to go through life: ignorant and rude. But that’s your choice, so supposedly you enjoy it.

Btw, why are so many Cruz supporters rude? Do they not know they are hurting their own candidate? Probably not; that level of analysis eludes them.

Thank you MoeHoward. I agree with your thoughts there.

BTW: Those were my words, as I paraphrased it for future use.

Your presentation was very good. Thanks.

I’m not that big of a Cruz fan. I won’t fight for him.

If he’s there, he’s there. If he’s not, he’s not.

I had been a bigger fan, but I lost some respect for him along the way.

I’m not asking anyone to view him as I do. Those that support him, go for it.
