One of first casualties was identified Friday as 19-year-old student Lucero Alcaraz, a first-year student who aspired to become a pediatric nurse
Second victim was identified as Jason Johnson, 33, a recovering drug addict who enrolled at UCC to continue his education after completing a rehab program
Deaths of two more UCC students, Lucas Eibel and Rebecka Carnes, both 18 years old, were confirmed by their families
A friend said Treven Anspach, 20, was also among the casualties of the campus shooting
Kim Dietz, 72, divorced mother of a grown daughter, was confirmed dead by her college friend and later by her ex-husband
Quinn Glen Cooper, 18; Sarena Dawn Moore, 44; and Lawrence Levine, 67 were identified as the three other victims of the shooting

All 9 victims were White, on a mixed-race campus. Oops, there goes the news lie yesterday that the killer was a “White Supremacist.”
The pictures of the “victims” ( the early ones) look 80’s and 90’s to me. Not 2005 or 2015. I graduated in 1982, give me a break.

From what I can gather, most, if not all, are Christian martyrs. They are in heaven, and no one will ever harm them again. As for their murderer, he has a different situation entirely.

The heavily armed gunman who slaughtered nine people at an Oregon college left a hate-filled note at the scene of his rampage and “felt the world was against him,” law enforcement officials confirmed Friday.
Two officials familiar with the contents of the note say 26-year-old Christopher Harper Mercer, who was killed in a firefight Thursday with police at Umpqua Community College, wrote that he would be “welcomed in Hell and embraced by the devil.”
