Just a reflection/observation, keying off of some things you said - we the average conservative, as well as regular Joe-The-Plumber Americans are sick of Washington lying to us for so many years - we ‘Republicans’ thought that the moral standing of our party’s platform somehow equated to or translated into our elected officials basing their conduct and integrity on that same platform (pro-life, 2A, Liberty, religious freedoms) - but no, it hasn’t. It was a wrong assumption. And we are not just sick of it - we DO have alternatives this election.

Now, take that basis of what I’m saying and apply it to the Demoncrats - their base, and I will be so bold to say it, the amoral/immoral God-less, selfish voters ARE and HAVE BEEN basing their voting on the Democratic platform - ‘Pro-Abortion, Pro-immorality(Gays/Lesbians, etc.) and that’s why they will vote for Hitlery no matter what - or, whoever else they put in there - because they KNOW that ANY of their candidates are the same Godless Amoral type.

I.e., We CARE, We stand for what’s right - that’s why we have Righteous indignation - thus Trump (a Doer). They don’t. They want -> Wickedness.

Fully agree. While Ted Cruz is a better conservative and a better candidate on paper, he is in the end a politician who is used to achieving compromise rather than taking charge.

We need a take charge executive who is not concerned with re-election and doesn’t care about making enemies. This may be our only opportunity to elect such a person.

“While Ted Cruz is a better conservative and a better candidate on paper, he is in the end a politician who is used to achieving compromise rather than taking charge.”

I wouldn’t put Ted down to that level, after all he did shut down the government over Obamacare (however futile it was), and he did actually go to the House in Jan, 2014 and tell them that their great plan for Immigration that was being pushed by the leadership, especially Cantor (I think they called it a White Paper, or something like that), was simply AMNESTY, and Ted stopped it.

Having said that...if Ted became our next president, the Dems would simply WALK ALL OVER HIM, as they did to Bush Sr., and Bush Jr., to a slightly lesser extent. That won’t happen with a President Trump...for sure.

Fair points about Cruz. But if nominated, I don’t see him getting elected as he is perceived negatively by too many. I wish that was not so.

Trump will bring so many Reagan Democrats to the fold that we should swamp the normal election fraud hijinks the Dems usually pull off. Then Trump will reverse the illegal alien factor that will turn the country back to the right, making it possible for a conservative like Cruz to win in 2020 or 2024.

Cruz is only 44 years old. He will have other opportunities for the presidency.

You READ MY MIND. Cruz, like it or not, has been Palin-ized, although not quite as bad. He needs some time (maybe 8 years) as VP to show the REST OF THE COUNTRY that he is not the nutcase the media has made him out to be.

After that, it will be Cruz’s turn. As I see it, Trump will clear the brush...send the (so-called) Syrian Refugees home, send MS-13 back to ElSalvador, tell American companies that they should also consider AMERICAN INTERESTS, rather than nights in the Lincoln Bedroom, or their own bloated stock options, and tell the left that they can take their ABSOLUTE HATRED of America back to their “teach-ins”.

Then Cruz comes in and explains to the country that we need to SERIOUSLY turn back the clock on big-government and show that America can again be a world superpower - because this week, Russia simply WALKED OVER US (thankfully they were acting in our interests, even if Kerry/Obama can’t figure that out, but we cannot count on them to always be on our side) - I would be EMBARRASSED, but I’m not...at this point Russia is looking out for our interests even more than our own president.

Trump worst poll in 5 days drops off tomorrow. So it’s a great bet Trump’s numbers should go higher in the next one.

On the other hand, Trump is down 7 points in the RCP average since the last debate. Still ahead, but a dramatic slip. Live by the poll, die by the poll.

I agree with this. Cruz seems to be a good guy but it is not his time.

60 Minutes had 15 million viewers last Sunday so that appearance probably helped move the needle for Trump.
