Ted Cruz couldnt get anyone in the Senate to back him tonight as he tried to get a ban on Planned Parenthood funding and a linkage of the Iran Nuclear deal in a government funding bill. He stood alone on the Senate floor.
After this Cruz launched into an hour speech, one that Mark Levin just tweeted out saying its a MUST LISTEN. I havent heard the whole thing yet but didnt want to keep it from you while I checked it out.
I am stunned to read comments on this thread to the effect that somehow Donald Trump deserves the credit for Ted Cruz' courage.
We have just witnessed a searing indictment of the Republican establishment, the Democrat party, that corrupt relationship between the political Washington and K St. We have just been exposed to the most cogent political discourse on why Washington is dysfunctional and why we conservatives have been betrayed.
These remarks by Ted Cruz stand as one of the courageous orations in the United States Senate where collegiality is valued above every other virtue. It takes courage to call the majority leader of the Senate a liar to his face as Ted Cruz has done. It takes extraordinary courage to stand on one's feet for one hour and indict one's colleagues of corruption and cowardice as Ted Cruz is just so resolutely done.
Thank you for posting this. It was well worth time to listen/view. I sent the link to my family. He makes his case so clearly. I hope more people see this. I wish it would go viral (but, not being a sound-byte, unlikely).
bump for later.
Thanks for posting this. Mr. Cruz will go down as one of America’s greatest statesmen. He truly is an American treasure. His fearless oratory and mental organization of thought is spotless. When you listen to him, you realize that there is no one who can surpass his white-hot patriotism and ability to articulate it. These skills, I believe, rank right up there with the abilities of the greatest Founders of this country. It is a shame that so much of America is now so dumbed down and corrupt that it can not/will not recognize this exceptional talent.
Watched the video. Cruz is great. Read a lot of the comments. There is no doubt this country is lost. There is no fix for the stupidity. It truly is time to split it up into two or 3 republics.
What an awesome speech, and without a teleprompter. He’s still my main man.
The trumpettes love to come insert Trump in every Cruz thread. It is an obsession.
As for words, what has Trump done beyond words and campaign promises?
Of course Cruz deserves full credit for this remarkable indictment of his own party leadership and the backbone needed to deliver it.
It’s no insult to Cruz to say that Trump has stirred the pot and brought some of the scum hiding at the bottom to light. Trump and his brash antics have set the stage for the eloquence of Cruz.
Maybe Cruz will be Lincoln and Trump merely John Brown. We shall see, but it takes both firebrands and orators to inspire a movement.
They compete for the top spot, but in this primary and beyond, the must defeat a Republican machine whose gears turn in concert with the machinations of the Democrats.
Ping For later
Cruise stood
alone all night long on the floor of the Senate with a urine bag tied to his leg.
Cruz asks for an extension of his speaking time.
He doesnt get it.
Then he concludes - with a sad voice, something like: The Democrats here refuse to listen to me any longer - just like the Democratic and Republican leadership refuses to listen to the American people. [dramatic pause....] I yield the floor.

There is not some sterile “reclassification” happening here. That is a human pride concept. The divine concept is receive the offer of Christ, be saved, period, doo-wop. But never forced on anyone.
It is by arbitrarily stressing certain scriptures over others that unbalanced results are arrived at. Instead, taking them in logical context, we see a God whose middle name in fact is not Damn.

Sadly, it’s a banzai charge. Cruz has been triangulated & marginalized. Tag teamed by the GOPe/MSM/Dems and ground down to single digits in the polls. There’s no way he can get the beltway stink off him at this point. He’d have been better off running for governor of Texas, IMO.
Hes preaching either to the choir or to the hecklers. So far the only one who seems to be preaching to the pews, so to speak, is Trump.
Exactamundo. No way Cruz can get elected POTUS as this type of polarizing figure.
I prefer that to thinking he is "our Jeremiah" - but the latter is more likely.
After watching Ted Cruz “tell it like it is” one can only wonder if we’ll ever take our country back.
As I see it, we might as well make a new conservative party because the Republican party is too corrupted to save.
Send him a few bucks today (before the filing deadline) if indeed he speaks for you - tedcruz.org. He - with Trump - is our last best hope...
As for the political image you posted in your comment to me, it reminds me of several things:
--I hope Trump becomes President in 2016.
--I hope Trump wins the Republican nomination and picks Ted Cruz as his running mate.
--The quote from Winston Churchill in your graphic is a principle that the Bible reveals God often uses in human history. For instance, God's use of Nebuchadnezzar revealed in the Book of Daniel and other books of the Bible show Mr. Churchill's quote illustrated in history.
I agree.
