It is, for our home planet, an extremely warm year.
Indeed, last week we learned from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration that the first eight months of 2015 were the hottest such stretch yet recorded for the globes surface land and oceans, based on temperature records going back to 1880. Its just the latest evidence that we are, indeed, on course for a record-breaking warm year in 2015.
Yet, if you look closely, theres one part of the planet that is bucking the trend. In the North Atlantic Ocean south of Greenland and Iceland, the ocean surface has seen very cold temperatures for the past eight months:
Whats up with that?
(snip)
At this point, its time to ask what the heck is going on here. And while there may not yet be any scientific consensus on the matter, at least some scientists suspect that the cooling seen in these maps is no fluke but, rather, part of a process that has been long feared by climate researchers the slowing of Atlantic Ocean circulation...

Well, ya see, all the global cooling felt scared because of all the global warming and so that all congregated in one spot to make a final stand. I’m sure that’s it.
or the Pope or am I repeating yourself?????
The washington compost where things are warm and steamy all the time
I better get out and cut some wood.
I am going to be to old to cut it by then
I was trying to explain this to someone that was concerned about the warm “blob” off the NW coast in the Pacific this year.
But “blob” just sounds so much more mysterious and omminus. Ooo - and this is “The blob that came from the Deep.”
I love that gif !!! LOL !!!
If you have a flat tire tomorrow or your waiter neglects refilling your water glass or your puppy poops on the rug, those are all very clear signs of ‘climate change’.
Love that movie and also I believe it was Steve McQueen’s first movie.
Love the theme song to the Blob:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzHDvzGmmw0
Beware of the blob, it creeps
And leaps and glides and slides
Across the floor
Right through the door
And all around the wall
A splotch, a blotch
Be careful of the blob
Liars.
Perhaps it’s wrong of me to think this way, but I honestly don’t believe a word of what they are saying.
Either this last winter or the one before, we had a record breaking series of storms hitting the New England states. Did anyone talk about global cooling. Was any great meaning taken from it?
We had a very cool spell most this year up until about August. Was that seen as some indication of global cooling?
We’ve had a couple of storms in Southern California, which we seldom have this time of year. Is that evidence of anything?
These guys hawk every warm spell they can, and never talk about the cooler weather.
I can’t talk about the temperatures for other regions, but I do obeserve that is going on here, and it doesn’t relate to these global warming nuts.
We have warm weather now, but it’s summer for heaven’s sake. It’s warm this time of the year every year here.
None the less, they’ll play it it for all they can get away with.
This guy (Felix) impressed me years ago & ever since I've been waiting for the 'ice age'. Who knows ... maybe it begins.

Hope this helps.
“Test it for salinity, seriously. Thatll shut down the inevitable glacier melt theory.”
This is the GIUK gap which means we have subs there most of the time. They constantly log salinity. I doubt the Navy with share the info though.
Remember, the presented temperatures are not real temperatures but the temperatures adjusted to meet the agenda of the global warming pseudo-scientist.
This is a real good solution. Wouldn’t cost 20K and would be worth it to shut the idiots up.
To anyone that actually knows something about this -
Does this mean a cooler winter for Northern Europe and does the warmer water off the Pacific NW mean more rain and milder winter there?
I am hoping for a wetter winter in the NW - don’t care how cold it gets - we need the water and snow.
Yes, the glaciers could be rolling over southern Florida, and these idiots would say it is caused by global warming. What morons.
Due to global warming no doubt.
