A Central Texas man will spend 10 years in federal prison for attempting to provide material to support terrorists. Rahatul Ashikim Khan, 24, plead guilty last summer to the charge and was sentenced on Friday afternoon.
Khan was arrested at his home on Pebblestone Trail in Round Rock in June 2014. Authorities say he conspired with others to recruit people who would travel overseas to support terrorist activities including committing violent jihad.

He certainly sounds like a Texan...
Was a Confederate Battle Flag involved?
Student VISA from a Muslim country?
The man isn’t a “Texan”. He’s a Muslim dissident (at the very best) here on a student visa (probably one under which he got IN-STATE tuition from Governor Rick Perry’s efforts).
Not Texan, not American.
Although it can be argued that the FBI is dragging its feet with the Hillary emails, I read all the time that they bust these jihadist wannabes. So, they’re doing something right.
Well, at least the tens of thousands of Syrian “refugees” 0bama is bringing to America will be properly vetted. < needsarctag?>
He should ask for a transfer to Gitmo.......
After he serves his sentence, he should be deported to Gitmo.
I’m close to Austin, but I’m not too weird, I don’t think—LOL! I was born in Smithville which is just a hop and a skip from Austin. I now live in Lakeway which is very close to Austin—but Lakeway is a very conservative city on Lake Travis.
LOL! I know you aren’t weird basil. I just see someone in one of those t shirts every once in a while and it makes me giggle. Like if I had a t shirt that said Keep Houston Huge or Keep Houston Congested. Of course we know Houston is huge and congested!
I think I will have one of those t shirts printed and wear it next time I am in Austin. ; )
The only arabic I need to know is “Allah Akbar” which translates into English as “Shoot Me!”
I thought ‘Allah Akbar’ meant ‘This has nothing to do with Islam’.
LOL!
I just thought of another one Keep Houston Hot and Humid!
Duh, who doesn’t know that!
How is this not treason?
Anymore, what does a person or politician have to do to commit treason? This should be a very easy question to answer, and we should have executed dozens of politicians and be in the state of executing hundreds of Muslim “citizens” under the guidelines of “treason”.
But, it appears committing treason is like committing “magic”. You may think you are doing it, but no one else recognizes it as such.
