Donald Trump is in an all-out attack against a surging new rival — and he just fired back

Real-estate developer Donald Trump is now frequently attacking a presidential rival he mostly refrained from criticizing in the past: Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Florida).

During a Thursday morning CNN interview, Trump hit Rubio as a "kid" in a wide-ranging critique.

He first bashed Rubio's credibility as a foreign-policy wonk when asked to compare their knowledge about Syria.

"Marco Rubio sits behind a desk sometimes and he reads stuff," Trump said, according to CNN's transcript. "That's all he does. I create jobs all day long. I'll know more about all of this than all of them put together and believe me, we'll have a winning strategy. If Marco Rubio is good, how come we're doing so badly?"

Trump went on to dismiss the 44-year-old senator's age.

"These guys don't know how to win," he said. "Marco Rubio, he's like a kid. He shouldn't even be running in this race, as far as I'm concerned. He's a kid."

Later in the interview, Trump again called Rubio a "kid" and criticized him for not deferring his candidacy to Jeb Bush, the former Florida governor.

"He's a kid. He has no right — I mean, frankly, he was very disloyal to Bush," Trump said. "Bush was his mentor. And everyone said he'd never run because Bush was his mentor. Well, the fact that Bush was his mentor didn't stop this young guy who is overly ambitious from wanting to run. Now Bush looks foolish and he looks like he's a very disloyal guy, frankly."

Earlier in the day during a "Morning Joe" interview, Trump also mocked Rubio for perspiring during last week's presidential debate.

And by should I meant what I thought would happen more than something he should do. I think Trump will beat Fiorina and part of it could be like-ability.

If people had known Marco Rubio was as big a lying traitor as he turned out to to be, Charlie Crist would be senator right now. There is a reason Marco’s not defending his senate seat and there is a strong possibility this supposed favorite son will not even carry his own state. The act of stabbing the people who got you into office in the back has consequences.

The best thing about him running for president is that he can’t also run for the senate. One way or another, Marco Rubio is going to be gone. Hallelujah! Big lying lib RINO traitor gone. He can take Crist and JEB! with him. Too many big honking RINOs in this state and every last one of them wants to be president.

"Just what has Rubio accomplished in his term as Senator?"

If your name is Mark Zuckerberg or Chuck Schumer, or La Raza, you think he's done plenty.

You can check my posts.. I’m a Trump supporter... don’t go accusing me of being anything else. I do not like Rubio.. he can be bought.. I’ve posted what he got for his trade vote.. several times.
I want Trump to do what he does.. as long as he doesn’t cause others to switch to someone else. I’m still supporting him. And I realize the younger people are used to harsh language.. I give that to you.. I’m just of the older branch when we didn’t have the internet to take our passions out on someone.

"He [Rubio] was a perfect illustration of how the GOPE infiltrates races with false tea party candidates, and frustrates and defeats the tea party with lies and liars.

In this current primary there are numerous examples of false conservative candidates being pushed by the GOP. In fact that describes about 90%+ of them or more."

BINGO

While youth isn’t necessarily a bad thing - the problems we face in this country and around the world call for someone with maturity. Did Rubio start this? I don’t know, but I wish Trump would get out of the weeds with this crap. I’m a supporter, but this is what bugged me from the git go. I sort of believe that Roger Stone did quit and wasn’t fired -he wanted Trump to lay off the personal insults and stick to the issues - even Rush has stated this and yet he continues. Yes, he’s ahead in the polls right now, but, if he wins the nomination -he isn’t going to have much support from the other candidates if he keeps this up. I wish everyone would send him a message via his website and voice thier concern over this - providing of course, you agree. I sure don’t mind him taking on his enemies, but, I wasn’t aware that Rubio was an enemy. No, I’m not a Rubio supporter, I just don’t think he came at Trump - unless I’m mistaken.

Saving the country is what I’m in for. It’s why I support Trump. I wanted someone to give it to them.. for a long time and I’ve cheered him on. I just don’t want others to switch to someone else because THEY are weary of the insults. I don’t want 4 more years of dem control... we can’t survive it.

The GOPe has been running pretend conservatives for years, way before 2010. Remember, Romney ran for president in 2008. He is one of the biggest pretend or “severe” conservatives out there. There may not have been a TEA party in 2008, but the lying GOPe infiltrators have a much longer history. Marco broadcast the fact that he was a Romney clone when he ran in 2010 right after he won the republican nomination for senate.

I do look at the good and bad in a candidate, but if the bad happens to be they are owned by the GOPe, I stop looking.

“I have heard just about all the Republican candidates speak with more depth and substance on issues than I have heard Trump speak.”

We must hear different things. The candidate I have heard most from is Trump, followed by Jeb!. The rest are just sound bites. Now, during the debates, the moderators present Trump with smears cloaked as questions. Then they will ask the other candidates questions. Rubio and Fiorni use bullet points; Trumps talks about the fence, trade, jobs, etc. Also, I don’t really care how glib someone is talking, I look at what they promote. Rubio continuously promotes amnesty, so I don’t even pay attention much to what he says because I know what he is.

Ted Cruz voted for TPA and the Iranian arms bill, and then spends all his time campaigning against both (and, he makes cogent arguments against them for sure). So how can I trust him? That is what Obama does — runs against his own policies and blames them on Republicans.

The ONLY issue is immigration, which is what Trump forced into the open. We get amnesty, then the country is over. All the other candidates are basically pro-amnesty.

Trump is certainly not a perfect candidate and I know you’ve been a big supporter of him. He needs to learn; if he can’t, he will fall. We still have Cruz and I pray he’ll rise in the polls. To me, Rubio looks like a kid, so on that front, I agree with Trump. But I’m not running for prez!

From the mouth of Jessie Unruh California Senate 1961:

“Money is the mother’s milk of politics.”

“If you can’t take their money, drink their liquor, and scxxx their women, and then come in here the next day and vote against them, you don’t belong in politics.”

That’s the reason i’m supporting Trump

You’re not kidding?!

He wasn’t suckered into becoming a turncoat. He was already a turncoat when he ran. In the FL House, as Speaker, he kept strong immigration bills from reaching the floor for a vote. When he ran promising no amnesty from him, he lied. You see what he did as soon as he got into office. He went on to lie about what the Gang of 8 was proposing. When he saw how badly his lying traitorous behavior was affecting his poll numbers, he said he repented and kept his mouth shut. Now he’s saying something else. What is the truth with him? Do you know? How can he be trusted at all? How to you believe anything he says? Just remember that with Marco, money talks. He can be had for the highest bidder.

“Trump said. “I’ve never seen a guy down water like he downs water. They bring it in in buckets for this guy.””

Trump is a RIOT!!! Again, he is inside the head of his opponents. Now Rubio has to learn to not sweat, just as Bush has to learn to look awake, and Carla has to learn to not look like a horse.

My way of looking at things, this is our last chance to save the country, literally. I have observed carefully; all the candidates are pro-amnesty in one fashion or another except Trump, Rubio unashamedly. The media and the Republican RINOs are going after Trump to absolutely destroy him and what he stands for, which just happens to be the America I grew up in.

I was watching NCIS New Orleans Tuesday. The evil guy they were trying to catch, a cult leader, on a video, called for a return “to the America it use to be”. Wonder who they had in mind with that slur? “Make America great again”? Our country is being attacked 24-7 from all venues.

“Rubio stabbed the TEA party in the back. They supported him and he joined the McCain wing as soon as he got there.”

HE SURE AS HELL DID. He’s young, I’m willing to forgive him, starting in 2028, providing he acts like a CONSERVATIVE between now and then. He can run for the top job then.

Until then, there is NO WAY IN HELL that I will EVER trust him, nor should any other American.

No, save the ammo for the up close and personal guys. And don’t forget, that also includes the MSM, who also happen to be water carriers for the rats. And, it seems, for the moment, the GOPee sponsored candidates.

Trump is fighting a multi-front war here.

I find it all so fascinating. Never seen anything like it.

But I got a case of beer and lots of popcorn, and I sure am enjoying the show. Trump may fall, then again, maybe he won’t. And I’ll vote for him if he runs the gauntlet. If he falls, he’s gonna take a whole lot of people down with him.

Yep, one hell of a show.

But they didn’t run pretend conservatives when they had a strong establishment incumbent in the field.....and Crist, as sitting governor, and popular, was as strong as an incumbent candidate.

The notion floated wat that Rubio was an estab plant. That’s beyond stupid.

That is certainly true. And certainly irrelevant to the discussion we were having. I don't understand this lack of ability to stay on topic.
