Neurosurgeon Ben Carson should withdraw from the presidential race for his comments that a Muslim shouldn't be president a prominent Muslim-American group said Sunday.
"I think his remarks should be repudiated by everyone on the political spectrum and that he should withdraw," Ibrahim Hooper, spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the nation's largest Islamic advocacy group, told the Washington Examiner on Sunday.
Carson, who is third in the Washington Examiner's presidential power rankings, spoke on NBC's "Meet the Press" Sunday and said that he wouldn't "advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation."

We have no religious test. Carson does not have the right to introduce one.
The questioner in NH was the best thing to happen to this country in a long time.
Pointless. Muslims taking such a pledge could practice taqqiya -- applying the concept that lying to dhimmis is not lying and is fully sanctioned by sharia law.

Technically, the Constitution would be fine with a Muslim as President — if Islam were strictly a religion. It isn’t. Since Islam’s major tenet is to convert or kill all non-Muslims, a Muslim President would have a conflict of interest. The President’s job is to protect the country.
And as Commander-in-Chief (or “Commander-AND-Chief”, as Obama said — idiot!), he’s over the military whose job it is to “defend against all enemies, foreign and domestic”.
A Muslim as President would be one hot mess, and stunningly dangerous for American citizens.
I would consider CAIR a hate group.

Despite all that has happened since 911, most Americans still believe that Islam is a like Christianity - a religion, and that Mohammad is just like Christ. They have no idea of the history of Islam other than what the media has told them or like Snarly Carly, believe that Islam produced the greatest civilization ever.
