Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” host Chuck Todd asked Republican front-runner Donald Trump, “Can you imagine supporting or being comfortable if a Muslim ever became president of the United States?”
Trump said, “I can say it’s something that at some point could happen. We’ll see. I mean you know at some point it could happen. Would I be comfortable? I don’t know if we have to address it right now but I think it’s certainly something that could happen.”
Talking over Todd he added, “Some people have said it already happened, frankly, but, of course, you wouldn’t agree with that.”
Todd said, “But let’s get to that. Why won’t you concede that the president is a Christian and that the president was born in the United States?”
Trump said, “Because I don’t talk about people’s faith. now, in all fairness he said he was a Christian. He attended the church of Reverend Wright and so, you know, I’m willing to take him at his word for that. I have no problem with that.”

His actions over the last seven years are more credibly explained by his being a leftist. There are piles of non-Muslim leftists who hold the exact same policy positions as him.

You are right in a way. We’re so busy arguing the details that we can’t see the big fact that he is a liar and a scoundrel no matter what he believes.
But it is relevant in terms of the present election cycle and what the various candidates say about it. We don’t want to be fooled twice.
Nope. If it were a slip of the tongue he would have accepted Steph’s correction and moved on. But that’s not what he does. He accepts it for just a moment but then drops it and explains what he really meant.

Yea!!! Just this a.m. I was discussing how someone should mention Reverend Wright when being asked about Obammy’s faith. Christian or Muslim - whatever he is or claims to be, Obama worshiped with Wright for 20 years, which leaves a lot to the imagination.......

There is no argument Obama is a evil lying SOB. Trump KO’d the MSM reporter. Most here understand this. The problem I have is when others make false statements about Trump, in an attempt to shift the blame and hijack threads with their false statements. It reeks and smells like MSM.
And I apologize to springwater for being compelled to defend against this type BS on the thread he posted. But this is what is needed in America today, instead of backing down from these types of tactics.
