If you just listened to the talking heads in the lamestream media this morning, you would think Trump was devastated last night in the second Republican debate. Not so fast. According to multiple polls this morning, Trump was the runaway winner once again last night and he had zinger after zinger for his esteemed opponents. Frankly, I expected last night to be a bloodbath with pit bulls trying to savage Trump at every turn. But it didn’t look that way to me. As much as the moderators would have liked for everyone to rip each other’s throats out, it was fairly civil and professional. I especially enjoyed Ted Cruz who is extremely presidential. Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina and Mike Huckabee were also good. But Trump held the spotlight once again – it was the Trump show all the way.

At least one poll this morning said that Trump won the debate with 60% of pollers. Another said he won with 23%. CNN was quick to headline that Trump’s chances of getting the nomination went down after last night. That’s not true and they know it. If anything, they went up. It’s obvious that the Joyful Tortoise, Jeb Bush, is not going to make it. Neither is Rand Paul or Scott Walker. Christie or Kasich? Please. In the end this isn’t about debates, it’s about what the American voters want and right now they overwhelmingly want Trump. They are just that fed up with illegal immigration and the border issue. His viable opponents at this stage are Cruz, Carson and Fiorina. If Trump’s numbers keep going the way they are, the GOP will not be able to stop him from being the nominee. Not ethically, that is. I actually thought the debate last night was much better than the first one.

What the press idiots still don’t get is that Trump’s appeal did not start with, nor did it rise because of debates.
Or maybe they forget the last one where they pulled the same “Trump bombed” shtick only to then have to change their shorts when they could not back their BS up with real numbers?

Is there ever going to be a debate where the “moderators” ask the candidates about policy issues alone — and not focus on personalities?
I haven't seen any talking heads this morning, nor have I read any analysis of the debate. I did, however, see the entire debate last night, and....well....Trump was devastated last night. I don't know what will happen to his poll numbers (Trump's supporters so far seem immune to facts), but the guy looked WAY out of his depth last night.

He's approaching the Presidency like he would approach a deal. And he's using the same techniques and methods he would to win any other big deal.
I didn’t watch the debate, but from the clips it looks like Trump owned Jebbie.
I love the style of Trump, and wish we had more politicians on our side that would “throw bombs” at idiotic policies and politicians. With that said, this country has devolved into the world of “Idiocracy”. I keep waiting for the “because it has electrolytes” retort from someone.

I gained a lot of respect for Trump from reading the art of a deal.He understands you can’t solve a problem by just throwing money at it.

IMHO I think the debates, at this point, knock people out more than elevate them. I haven’t even heard a mention of it? Did they have it?..... time for the bottom four to get out.

We see by Friday that she didn't do so well as they claim the 1st debate Trump loss to Maarco Rubio then Trump soared and Rubio tanked in the Polls.
Each candidate had their moments.
