Sowell: I Like Walker and Jindal the Most Out of the GOP Field
Breitbart Big TV ^ | 9-8-15 | Ian Hanchett

Posted on 09/08/2015 10:59:05 PM PDT by afraidfortherepublic

Hoover Institution Senior Fellow and author of “Wealth, Poverty and Politics: An International Perspective,” Thomas Sowell said that he likes Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal the most out of all the candidates in the GOP field on Tuesday’s “Hannity” on the Fox News Channel.

When asked if there were any Republican presidential candidates that “grabs your attention the most, that you like the most?” Sowell answered, “I guess there are two. Governor Scott Walker, and Governor Bobby Jindal. And my main reason is that they have — they are people who have done things, and have had to take the responsibility for the consequences.”

Earlier, Sowell stated, “What’s painfully tragic already, and it’s going to get worse if it continues, is this notion that only black lives matter, because black lives are the ones that are being lost, more so than any other lives, in this great crusade against the police. Just the number of blacks killed, additionally, compared to last year, in Baltimore alone, is up by some amount far greater than the number of policemen killed.” And “about a decade ago, Heather MacDonald did a book called ‘Are Cops Racist?’ And she points out that after the demagogues come out, and they start trashing the police, and so on, the police pull back, and the net result is the criminal element then has a freer hand, and more blacks will be killed, than there were before. So I don’t know why you would keep going down that same road, when it produces these same results, again and again.”

Sowell also said the Black Lives Matter movement is “a movement which has its desire to have power and prominence, and logic doesn’t mean much to them... I’m afraid that no lives really matter very much...

Rubio is unelectable because he supports illegal Immigrants & is a GOPe hack. I’ll vote for Cruz or Trump.

I have loved this true American for years. He has always told the truth. Just wish more blacks would listen to him rather than Opeaser, Holdme, Give me money Jackson, El Sharpton, the Ferguston mayor and police chief, and the same for the City of Baltimore.

I will say it one more time. It is not a Law Enforcement problem. It is a black inner city problem where the "baby-dadies" just walk away from their children who later join gangs looking for that male influence.

Also, the "whores", yes I said that, are as worthless who get free subsistence according to how many kids they can produce. Yeah, I said that also. Prove me wrong by asking young black kids in the projects/ghettoes who their father is. Hell, ask the birth mothers who the father is.

And while you're at you PC dumbasses, show me where the many many studies (including FBI) have found that the vast majority of black deaths are caused by other blacks are incorrect. I'm waiting you Huffington Pr*cks. Show us otherwise. What's that? Crickets?

If you liberals had an ounce of integrity (self honesty), you would be appalled by the record number of deaths/injuries of black on black. But no, you're all about some police officer defending himself against a black punk who grabbed for his gun and got deaded. Of course, you and the media forget the video of the so-called "gentle giant" over-powering some small convenience store clerk.

Also, why aren't you black and white liberals out protesting about the little 9 year girl who was shot in her Mother's bedroom while reading a book by your misunderstood black gangsters? You white and black racists sicken me.

Thomas Sowell has and been trying to tell the black community for years why the inner cities have fallen and it's not because blacks were wrongfully enslaved back in this nation's early years. It's because they lost focus on their morality as men left their children for no reason other than selfishness.

There is NO one alive today that either was a slave nor owned a slave. Get the f*ck over it, you damn racists! BTW you idiots, whites were also enslaved by various regimes throughout history. Also, blacks helped capture other blacks to send off to America and other nations.

Did you know that there were some American black land-owners who had black slaves? Of course you don't.

Own up to your own misbehavior and join civilization. If not, then relish in your self made victimhood. Just don't bring your violence to peaceful hard-working suburban folks who pay your way. Try it and be surprised. Remember the Koreans on their store rooftops during the Rodney King riots? Not a one of their stores were burnt down. Multiply that by 10's of thousands.

Black men, please grow up and wisen up. That includes you black welfare queens as you're known. You have no future with race-baiters like Sharpton, Jackson, Farrakhan, etc. They make a living off your misplaced anger. Start thinking for yourselves and build some integrity and honor and self-esteem without them and join the American community no matter how large or how small the contribution. The smallest effort will reward you with pride. You're all welcomed if you only try.

add cruz to walker and jindal and i’m right with him.

Ted Cruz's accomplishments in the Senate?

Oh, yes, giving Obama's Iran deal his blessing, then turning against it. Giving Obama TPA (which Cruz will turn against when Obama presents a free trade agreement)

Yes, Cruz has a list of accomplishments...few of which are conservative or constitutional.

I like both Walker and Jindal.

Walker seems to prefer being on the ropes instead of taking a more "energetic" approach and might not fight well. Jindal would probably run a good end game but I really have no solid sense of his real fighting abilities.

GO CRUZ!!! Keep it up Trump!

*BUMP*

Sowell’s books are on my nightstand. I am so in love with that man’s brain. This is frosting and sprinkles on top! :)

“They are both solid conservative intellectuals and know what they are talking about.”

Jindal brought in Common Core to Louisiana.

New Orleans is a sanctuary city. Jindal never complained.

Jindal is about to leave office with Lousiana about one and a half billion in the red. He assumed office with a billion dollar surplus.

Jindal will never win a statewide election in Louisiana.

For example, the Federal government pumped in about 3 billion dollars after Katrina. When that dried up, Jindal goes around the country saying he cut 3 billion dollars from the state budget.

And they’re great together. He always brought Sowell on when he subbed for Rush.

Hannity spoke over the soft-spoken Sowell last night. So annoying.

Sowell, Walter Williams, Allen West and Larry Elder.

Any one of those four fine Americans would have my support for President. If only...

Truth is, and not to give the GOPe any ideas, I’d pick Romney over any of the <5% wanna-be candidates. But no, they and most of the <10% should drop out. Let the GOPe consolidate themselves around one, make it a match-up between Trump and some hapless GOPe candidate, Trump will win regardless. He’s made a caricature out of each of the candidates, others, like Cruz, have shot themselves in the foot without help.

Valid points. Im still a Walker supporter but very flexible. Its early yet and too much can happen. Im enjoying Trump raising hell and I like Rubio’s international views. I like a bit about most of the candidates.

Amazing how the collective wisdom of average Americans is better than that of our intellectuals.

Sowell is a great American but he sure doesn't get what is happening in this election.

He is thinking with his head and not his gut.;-)

I would agree with Sowell... I was a bit disappointed with Walkers performance during the debate as he seemed flat. Then again, it became a Trump circus to a large degree. I am not a Trump fan whatsoever...I think he’s a media opportunist.

He’s getting quite elderly. I think he’s sad how the country has turned out especially with his own black community. I sensed tiredness and sadness on Hannity’s show last night. Doesn’t matter. He was and is a great American. Not everyone is going to love and adore Trump. Not everyone loved Reagan until he dropped a few bombs on Quaddafi.

Of course Sowell is for GOPe lackeys. He showed his true colors last year with this hit piece on Ted Cruz.

Cruz Control

Spoken like a true blue eltist DC talking head.

It’s great when you come to the same conclusions as Thomas Sowell

I cannot see taking Romney over Walker. Walker needs some coaching but his heart is in the right place. I honestly don’t think the Mitt we see now is in his heart much different from the guy who ran against Ted Kennedy.

My conclusions exactly. I’d don’t place much stock in the opinions of many people but Sowell is one of the few where I take notice, if he offers his opinion.
